pubic hair removal

Shaving sucks, it grows back quickly and it itches like a bitch while it’s doing it. I say rip those them out.

No really, try this for more info

Hairy penis

I don’t shave above the penis, I use beard trimmers to get it very short. This prevents ingrown hairs and itching. Just shave balls with regular razor and cream (after showering).

I don’t know much about these things but I’ve seen them advertise “epilators” on TV. It looks kind of like an electric shaver, but instead of a small drum containing the raisors on top you have a series of discs which are placed in a zig zag formation next to each other. The result is that when they rotate they go from a wide opening to collect the hair to a narrow one which rips the hair out. I suppose the end effect is something like waxing or plucking where you are ripping the hair out of the follicle.

I’ve been doing a lot of plucking myself, but you know, life’s too short!

Anyone try any one of these devices? On TV they market them to women to shave their legs so not sure how they deal with the sensitive areas.

Input welcome

Pubes

Use an electric shaver? It does not itch as much and it seems to me it grows back slower, use a conditioning lubricant afterwords, s/a hair conditioner takes the sting out and reconditions the skin.

Kingpole.

Try using duct tape. Be a man!

I’ve used a Gillette razor in the past with fairly good results and an opccasional knick, but far better is the new Mach3 (three blades in a cartridge with a built in vibrator). I have had zero cuts on my balls and it’s by far the easiest method I’ve found. Absolutely no irritation. It’s the last thing I shave when I shower and it takes just a minute or two.

A vibrator? What the fuck is a vibrator for on a razor, that sounds a little dangerous to me.
Is the vibrator to get you hard so it easier to shave or something? :idiot:

Hi,

I’m gonna go out and buy something new today, wax strips. Has anyone ever tried them before?
For those who don’t know what they are, they are plastic strips with a bit of wax on them. Used for mono-brows and womens-tach normally. I’ll be assessing their alternative use however ;-)

Will keep you posted.

Take it from someone who has tried an epilator, it hurts like hell.

I wax my legs now, that might be better, and I see where you have purchased some wax strips. Now, its gonna sting, but it doesn’t last. Just watch carefully for not really ingrowns, but similar the first few times you wax. And do let us know how that goes.

Search for Epil-Stop biowax. You should be able to find it for $15-$20 a tub. You microwave the wax about 4 minutes, use a wooden spatula to apply quarter-sized patches, let it cool, and pull. The pain lasts less than 1 second, literally. It takes on average 5 or 6 weeks for a hair follicle to regenerate, so a maintenance schedule of waxing every 10 days to 2 weeks should work for most. The wife does it now as well, and if she can do it you can do it. Say no to stubble.

In my pumping days I used to shave from the scrotum to just above the base of the penis. Didn’t like the fact that it grew back so quickly. Started waxing a year ago. Take a good pain pill before if you are squeamish. The first time you wax your genitals and pubic area is sore, for a little while, a bit tender for about a day. Don’t wash in hot water, just warm water. Use a good lotion on the area for a few days, and exfoliate on the third. The next time you have to wax will be about a months time and this time the roots are smaller than the first time so it will be easier and less painful.

“Go Brazilian”

Uhm, plucking is hurting alot, but when I close my eyes it’s cool, I guess? :(

What are the pros and cons of “sugaring” versus waxing?

Also, when the hair regrows, how long does it have to get before you can wax or sugar again? I assume there has to be some length of hair for the wax or whatever to grab on to.

Can’t give you the pros and cons of the two, I’ve only waxed.

The hair must be at least 1/4 inch long for the wax to grab it. I’ve been doing this for 3 years now and I wax once a month. In the beginning it was every two weeks. I also used a product called Kalo, which is a hair inhibitor and it worked well for me. Others might not get the same results.

I have noticed that the hair that does grow back on my legs is much finer and lighter than it used to be. I should state that I went to Sally’s beauty supply and purchased a wax warmer and a can of wax. That can last me 6 months or more. Its basically a simple process, I turn it on, let the wax heat and melt, use a tongue depressor to put it on, always put on the way the hair grows, and then use a strip of muslin in the other direction to strip it off. I love not having stubble, my legs are silky soft. Oh, use vaseline or vegetable oil to remove any residue from the wax. Vaseline works better than vegetable oil. They also make a product called Pre Hon which helps to remove our natural oil from the skin prior to waxing.

I’ll never go back to shaving my legs! Shaving encourages hair to grow and I want to get rid of it.

What about that post from awhile ago. I think it was called “The Ultimate Pubic Hair shaving routine”.

Basically it was a certain product from like…beavershaver.com or something. Do a search for it. Im curious if anyone else has tried this particular product since that guy posted about it. I was considering buying it for myself if others think it works well.

I didn’t start that thread, but I use that shaver. It’s called the Seiko Cleancut, and it’s available from beavershaver.com, and also at Amazon I think.

It’s a small microscreen-type electric shaver that runs on a C-cell. It will get where you need it to go, and it won’t cut anything longer than stubble, which turns out to be an advantage. You need to use a powder of some kind to get the best shave. Talc will work, but I just use plain cornstarch. It takes about 10 minutes.

But, like any form of shaving, you get stubble back pretty quickly. That’s why I would be interested in waxing or sugaring, but don’t like the part about having to wait till you get 1/4 inch of growth before you can wax again.

Anybody wax their scrotum? Does that work?
