Safe sex????

Yes, I would like to consider myself a nihilist, but I still suffer the lingering effects of the useless morality that was brainwashed into me from Catholic school. Nihilism isn’t really a choice, it’s an end result of living in a disillusioned world. Nihilism isn’t the cause of today’s problems, it’s really more of the effect of the world’s problems, or society’s problems… the only possible outcome.

Anyway, back to condoms…

Female condoms are worthless and unsexy… unless you’re into fucking a garbage bag. And usually, the thinnest condoms are good for protecting against pregnancy, yet are so thin that diseases such as HIV can pass right through the latex. Caveat Emptor!

As for girth issues… I’m working on not fitting into regular condoms. That will be a glorious day indeed!

The female condom is inside the vagina so I have no idea what could be sexy or unsexy about it considering you can’t see it. I never knew condoms were sexy. Besides, they seem to have some form of worthiness because people seem to highly recommend them.

I guess my thought is, if a man decides relationships guided by commitment are useless, and they also feel condoms are useless, how could a disease that is rapidly killing folks off be controlled if people don’t want to be bothered with the inconvenience of safe sex.

Does masturbation become the only means of sexual satisfaction one can practice or does one take their chances when having sex? It seems pregnancy would be the least of someone’s troubles…I take that back considering the rate of babies being left in trash cans or buried in the snow. (Forget Roe vs Wade, adoptions, sae sex, or not having sex at all).

How does a guy determine what girl may be safe? The way she looks, the way she smells? The way she handles herself?

Then for women, they feel they will risk “losing” a guy when she wants him to wear a condom. Often times, I think a woman will decide to take the chance then stand up for what she believes. A guy could tell certain women that he is clean. That he doesn’t have sex much. Or anything to get into her panties and she will give in. Enough of that….

Anna, the Trojan Mag XL is okay, but only for 30 seconds before you have to undo it & let the “red ring” cool off.

I do know Trojan makes a slightly “girthier” condom out of lambskin(without much STD protection).

Are those 3 websites where I can find the ones you mentioned? do they give milimeter or inches measurements? Are they giving girth as the diameter of the opening or like we do it here?

I see BEYOND 7 at the grocery store, but I am not sure it is for big girth.

Most likely the first condoms were created by the sub-Saharan Africans or Hamitic Arabs. I forget which animal specifically used, but the intestine could make quite a number of condoms.

I didn’t know that tidbit about Benjamin Franklin, but I do know he was never president of the U.S.

That Trojan bit about dipping the penis in a hot vat of rubber….they had a girl do that to Milton Berle when he was a teen. When his adopted son-in-law found it in a chest in the attic, he was awestruck by the veinous large penis mold.

I didn´t quite get this part, why did you sweat for 10 years? Were you living in celebacy for all that time? What happend after those 10 years?

Didn´t it become your responsibility to make sure you were clean, right after this guy ditched his condom?

Of course it was my responsibility. And I was tested annually for AIDS while I was in the military. Before, I was tested only when I needed to because I was not sexually active. I have been told and still believe that one can harbor the HIV virus for ten years before it shows up. It can show up before that of course, but you could have it and not know it immediately. Of course, I am talking over a decade ago so testing has gotten better, but I was worried that nine years from that experience I could have been infected.

OK, I see, then it makes more sense to me!

Never heard about HIV laying dorment (sp?) for 10 years or so. Have to look that one up. Sounds like someone confused that with how long it can take for HIV to become AIDS.

Anyone who knows this for sure? Maybe a straight answer could save someone else from 10 years of grief. And if it could take 10 years I guess it could take 12 or 15 years as well, depending on the person. Doesn´t seem right to me, then you should be informed of that when you take a HIV test, and I know I haven´t.

Yes, the HIV virus can lay dormant for up to 10 years before activating. To me that is a scary thought.

My advice to anyone is this, if you don’t know where it has been, use protection. If you are in a committed relationship which is to say you don’t screw around, then you don’t have to worry do you?

If someone could provide me with a scan microscope photograph of the ACTUAL HIV virus, I might actually believe in it……whatever AIDS is.

A virus is simply replicating DNA.

And AIDS is more a problem of the environment of the body, NOT some little virus…in my opinion, & based on other theories.

Oh, you’ll GET AIDS……sure. If you allow your body to attack itself by eating the “wrong things,” doing reckless behavior and things to your body.

AIDS is a nice reason for the government to pump $$$ into drug companies’ pockets for sure.

Yes, a virus copies its own DNA into that of a cell and then makes the cell produce the changed DNA. You don´t think this is a threat, or for real?

This is the danger of viruses, they can mutate and come back in a new form. It´s basicly alien DNA in your body. And yes, with AIDS it breaks down your immune system, very nasty stuff.

You talk like the South African president, like AIDS isn´t for real and screw medicine, just eat right and live straight. That´s NOT good form.

I just read up a bit on the subject and that´s not entirely true. You get infected immediatly and thus also develop HIV antibodies (not sure if this is the correct word in english), and it´s through these antibodies they can test you for HIV. So a positive test can be done right from the start.

However, you don´t have to have any symptoms for several years. So if you test yourself you´re OK, but don´t wait to test yourself until you start to feel bad.

Besides, even if you do get AIDS just rape a virgin and you will be cured! (just kidding, that BS is going around in parts of africa as well.)

It take it that you don’t see the need to use a condom? Certainly, the better you take care of your self the less chance any virus has of getting a foothold. Please post links to these “other theories” as well as a diet plan that will render one immune to AIDS.

Hey Rocco, we are posting at exactly the same time.
I understand that some of the AIDS protocols (drug combinations) suppress the virus to the extent that someone with rather advanced AIDS can test negative, ie, as if they were not infected. I am not up on the topic but have read that the virus can stay semi-dormant for a long time. It is entirely possible to be infected and not test positive.

Quick edit: Anyone that is up on this stuff please post some info or links. like possibly a pediatrician or exceptionally tall intern?

yeah, noticed that now, I was surprised that noone had commented already.

Now you´re talking of AIDS, and maybe you´re right here, but you would still test positive for HIV. So that´s what I said, that you can have _HIV_ in your body for years without symptoms, but would test positive for that.

Once you´re infected with HIV you´ll develop antibodies and they´ll last for life. Apperently not doing so much good.

Not trying to be a smartass, just passing what I´ve read, unfortunatly from a swedish source. Maybe some drugs can mask the HIV antobodies in a test too, but you´d still be infected.
