Serious Trouble

Serious Trouble

Hi Folks,

I don’t really know where to start.

I am a married 31 years old guy and was trying to be a father. My wife had a miscarriage in the 4th month of her pregnancy and since then (almost 1 year) we are trying but she did not conceive. Doctors asked me to go for semen analysis and testosterone tests. I got the results and all parameters are ok except that there is no LIVE SPERM and all are dead. Secondly, my testosterone level which was 700 ng/dl last year has dropped to 220 ng/dl. THAT’S ALARMING!

It has been over 8 months I have lost sex drive and erection is not good at all. I also used to “Shoot” but it just oozes out now. I feel tired all the time despite the fact that I do jog regularly. What could be the reason?

I am scared!

Regards,
Jon

What is your urologist saying. Have they discussed hormone replacement?

The urologist has given me herbal medications. He said if I go for testosterone therapy that could cause me more and it could hamper my fertility.

If you have no live sperm I’m sure your fertility cannot be hampered further. It’s worth pressing your doctor for something more reliable than a herbal option.

Have you had any therapy or deep discussion about how the miscarriage effected you? I have been through this and by not showing any major emotions because of being conscious of my wife’s feelings first, I failed myself, I should have addressed it sooner.

Massive emotional trauma can have a significant effect on your hormones.

Yes, I have been under pressure and stress due to my job and because of emotional stress after the miscarriage. My wife was in emotional trauma and could cry out at any moment even after a few months.

There is a possible way known as ICSI-IVF that means extracting live sperm from my testicles and injection it into egg but this is fucking costly. I cannot believe my sperms would die out. I don’t drink, neither smoke. Living a healthy balanced life but this thing happened to me.

My urologist suggested me to retake semen test after a month while having these herbal meds. Do you have a better suggestion for an increase in testosterone?

I do not know enough about the Testosterone and would leave that advice to others and your doctor.

As for emotional support, in these situations it is easy for the man to be forgotten, it’s understandable why, maybe don’t forget yourself and get some support if you need it.

Maybe you are placing a lot of pressure on yourself with conceiving again and preforming. Pressure is one of the biggest sex drive/performance killers.

Hi Jon, hope you and your wife find a way. Talk to her and don’t let her down. You will have a baby!!

There are some natural ways to raise your testosterone. But it’s a lifestyle change and the results won’t come fast. The good thing that it’s natural and it’s beneficial in every aspect of life. Also, your wife can be part of it and you two will feel better.

Here are some changes you may consider in your life (forever):

1. Meditation: Helps controlling the stress. High levels of cortisone (stress’ hormone) can contribute to low levels of testosterone.
2. Loose your body fat: Fat directly contributes to low testosterone levels.
3. Build muscles: Work hard on your muscles. Don’t need to be a bodybuilder, but the stronger you get, higher testosterone levels you get also. Muscles gives your testosterone a real boost.
4. Eat properly: It’s part of losing body fat, but food properties also contributes to testosterone levels. More protein, less carbs, less sugar…
5. Sleep well: While you sleep, your body regulates hormones. Morning wood happens because of the testosterone raise that happens while you sleep.

Also, if your are doing PE, protect you testicles from heat while you are warming. Heat kills sperm.

I’m 33 years old, 5’ 6” tall and weighed 205lbs. Now I weigh 160lbs. Lost 45lbs in one year. The benefits are incredible

That drastic drop in testosterone is very unusual given such a short time period.. If it proves that it can’t be raised naturally by diet, and exercise I would definitely press your MD to begin TrT.. Press him for the injections instead of the transdermal gels.

One month sounds too soon. The process takes more like a 3 months with the medication used in Infertility clinics IF they are willing to heal the male customer.
HCG for three months with supporting substances.

But they have gone for more lucrative and easier for them selves procedure with male customers having few weeks of letrozole or another aromatase inhibitor.
Then they do the ICSI. If you are going to prioritize having baby you go for that treatment right away. Their interest is not to heal the male patient but having the fertilization done.

If you are going to prioritize having both you and your wife healthy you need to forget the baby for a while.
You need to go to doctor who have specialized in andrology also get some therapy for both of you.
Then you go all in having the baby. Natural or IVF way.

When connective tissue is stretched within therapeutic temperatures ranging 102 to 110 F (38.9- 43.3 C), the amount of structural weakening produced by a given amount of tissue elongation varies inversely with the temperature. This is apparently related to the progressive increase in the viscous flow properties of the collagenous tissue when it is heated. (Warren et al (1971,1976)

I would try clomid. My t levels were around 200 a month ago now I’m at 700 and climbing. I take 25 mg a day. I would do that for a month only then every other day.

Hi Jon,

With the orgasm side of things, do you feel there is a lot of tension around your perenium/prostate area? I know massage down there certainly helps for me.

Having your thumb and index finger curled up in a “c” shape with a 15-20mm gap grab the soft tissue there and gently squeeze. You should feel a lump (I am not even sure what this is lol maybe it is a bit of the prostate or some form of tissue). But i gently squeeze the lump by closing the thumb and index finger together, let go and keep repeating.

Good luck with everything.

TRT will make it worse don’t listen to anyone who tells you different period!
synthetic test injections will close down your natural test no if and or buts about it.
Injecting test tells your brain to stop and it closes down your natural test. I don’t give a FUCK who tells you different and I don’t give a fuck if it’s only 3 mgs.

Buy your self some DHEA and take two 25mg pills a day THAT’S IT PERIOD!

Well try to tell us more… Have you done any steroids in the past? That is a very significant drop in your test levels.

I will say this…… To increase or restore sperm count look or read about HMG , HCG and Clomid.

Zinc will help some with the sperm and Test production.

Dont forget about good fats. Fats are essential with hormone production.

Maybe its the stress that got into you….

Wishing all the best. Good luck!

You’d need more detailed tests to determine the cause and solution. You need to see an endocrinologist and have FSH, LH, and SHBG tested to start with I think.

Steroids use could cause a drop in testosterone like this. And while you would know if you were taking testosterone replacement steroids, you’re certainly being exposed to BPA which can have the similar effects of shutting down the hypothalamus pituitary gonadal axis.

Are you by chance touching a lot of thermal receipt paper?

It could also be you are consuming some food that is contaminated with a larger than normal amount of BPA, or countless other endocrine disrupting substances.
