There existed an online forum for people to quit smoking. But because of lack of contribution from members the forum winded up. I quit smoking with their help 5 years ago. It was indeed very difficult initially but the constant suggestions and tips that I received from the members helped me to quit. A fb version of it still exists called - as3onfb .Short for alt.support.stop.smoking group.

I smoke cigars. I do not inhale. That should not effect my penis health should it?

Not as much as cigarettes, but you’re still getting nicotine in your blood. Nicotine is responsible for atherosclerosis and atherosclerosis causes ed.

Any success stories of quitters improving EQ?

I quit smoking in March.

I went total cold turkey.

Now with Penis Enhancement my erections are solid.

I’ve been smoking for about 10 years. During that period almost ALL! My friends quit this bad habit. Some time passed. I could not quit it too easily like they did. And one day one of them gave me to taste his electronic cigarette. WOW, effect! I tried it and at the same moment realized that it is the solution. So, I bought a similar device, fueled it with nicotine and since that time I do not use cigarettes at all. So, after that my sleep, my erection and my overall well-being constantly improving. I found this thread while browsing the forum. Having recently quit smoking myself (6 weeks now), I have been marveling at the things that are different now and couldn’t resist commenting.

Since quitting the cigarettes, not only do I breathe better, but I can smell and taste things that I thought were one way, only to find that I either like or dislike them now in comparison to my smoking days. Also, my skin is soft again, like when I was in my 20s (I am 50 now). But, the best part, and related to this forum, is that I get spontaneous erections throughout the day now! Well, semis.. I have type 2 diabetes and have been suffering from ED for a number of years now. The spontaneous erections were not happening before I quit smoking. I also wasn’t getting manual erections beyond say 15%. It was really frustrating. Now, I can get around 75-80% which is like a miracle to me. Hoping it keeps increasing. Also, occasional morning wood, which I do not remember getting for many years.

If you have made the decision to quit smoking, follow through. It will be miserable at first, but I promise you will be glad you did. I am also hoping the PE journey I am beginning will help with EQ (Erection Quality) and I reach that 100% again. My younger penis measured very near 6.5”, but seems to have shrunk over the years (though I can’t get fully hard to measure, so who knows?) I am only measuring about 5.6” now. Where did my 0.9 go? Ha ha.

Anyway, to the original poster and anyone coming in to read later, just quit. We all know how stupid the addiction/habit is in the first place, and you can only benefit from quitting. I think this is my first post at TP!

Do you have a pack of cigarettes within your possession right now? Flush them down the toilet. You don’t have to finish the pack to quit. Flushing them is a symbol of your strength and it will also require you to go to the store to get another pack. That’s a tiny barrier there. You’ll think less about them the further away they are from your reach.

For me the nicotine urge peaked and fell within a week. It popped in and out of my mind for a month but after that I started forgetting about nicotine in general.

Quitting increased
-sensitivity
-erection quality
-erection frequency

General improvements in mood and health. Lower blood pressure and heart rate as well.

For how long after you quit smoking did you see improvements in your EQ? I quit 3 months ago and I’m wondering for how long my EQ will improve.
