Testicle infection

Hi Guys,

I know that this probably isn’t the best forum to bring this up in, but I don’t yet have access to the sexual health forum.

I have had an infection in my left testicle for about the last week. I have been to the doctor about at, and he gave me some antibiotics to help it clear up. At the beginning it was very painful, aching most of the time and very sore to touch. Since taking the antibiotics it is much better, but still quite tender and sore to touch on occasions.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?, and if so, how long did it take for it to fully clear up. It’s becoming a bit of a nuisance because it’s stopping me do things like riding my bike, etc..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar infection just below the head of my penis. It was due to a blood clot caused by excessive pumping.

I was also put on antibiotics and it cleared up after several weeks. It was a very uncomfortable period, but all is well now.

It’s a valuable lesson yu have learned. the hard way.

Take it easy in future, and rest up until the infection clears.

Pardon my lack of knowledge on the matter but can we get a testicle infection by solely P.Eing (dangerously) ?

Yeah mine wasn’t caused by PE, I was pretty run down with a head cold for about a week and a half, then went away with the missus for a dirty weekend while still on the tail end of the cold while we were away.

Next thing I know my head cold has turned into a testicle cold.. Head cold + heaps of head = sore balls.

Been doing a bit of research about epididymitis, which is what I think I have, and a common way to get it is through generally being run down and also through higher amounts of kegeling. Seeing as I was both run down and having a dirty weekend away, both these things were occurring..

Just wanna know if anyone who may have had this can tell me how long to expect it to take to clear up fully? And how long before the testicle isn’t sore to touch/bump.

So, I just found out I have this today, I figure I should not be PEing while I am recovering from this? My case is only very mild so it doesn’t hurt bad enough to really make me want to stop.

Yup, I had the same some years ago. I had a hernia surgery and got a bit too active too quickly afterward. I was put on antibiotics and briefs for a week or so. All is better now.
