Testosterone Test - help!!!!

OK, so I went to the docs for a testosterone test to help with my ED. I have just rang up for the results and apparently they are normal. I asked for the results and they told me the following:-

Seroin and T = 15

Apparently the range is 9.4 to 37.

Correct me if I am wrong as I thought the range for T was somewhere like 200 to 800!!! So if this is the case what the hell is my reading????

The test may be reported in different units than the usual.

OK, so does that mean my T is quite high or Low? I am 28 and only slightly overweight….

The 200 to 800 is in the nanograms of testosterone per deciliter of blood measurement. The other I have never seen used before. Looks to me like your T level is quite normal or in the low normal range anyway. But thats just a guess because of the range you posted.

I had my T tested (not free T though) and I came up at 16.5 which is according to the doctor, normal and ok.

I went because I was having erection troubles, but it’s all down to my outlook on my penis. Before I obsessed about size, it was great, now that I do, it’s sometimes less than good.

Your hormones are most likely fine. I would research into other causes. Why not try:

1) Exercise
2) Quit smoking if you do
3) Kegels (do a search on this if unsure)
4) Do PE and try and be happy with what you have at the time
5) Relax! If you get stressed during sex your erection quality will be more likely to fail.

I’m used to treating on the basis of results reported in ng/dl.

If you are having symptoms that are even POSSIBLY related to testosterone lack and your level is on the low side - even if still in the normal range - I would tend to treat. You may need to be worked up for whether you have deficient pituitary and thyroid status as well.
