Thinking about adult circumcision

I’m cut since birth, and to be honest, I’m happy I was.

But of course, part of it is likely just because I’m so used to it, but uncut dicks just seem so unappealing to me (sorry guys).

I’ve never had trouble masturbating - I never use lube (I hate using lube actually) - but I might be different than other guys? My skin moves really easily so perhaps there are different degrees of circumcision, or I’ve just been jerking it way too long/much that my skin got loose haha. Either way, while I’m sure the ‘masturbating for cut guys is hard’ myth comes from somewhere, I’ve never come across another (cut) guy with that issue..

In the end it shouldn’t really matter though. Do what you want for yourself. I think you will get an equal mix of people telling you what is “best” but that’s just silly.

OK, wait. Are there actually cut guys who have to use lube all the time? Or is that something made up by an uncut guy to feel better about their foreskin? Ha.
The only explanation I can think of is that, perhaps when older guys (such is the case here) get circumcised it is much harder to masturbate because the skin has been pulled tight so recently, but I imagine any kid when he first starts masturbating isn’t going to use lube. I know I never even thought of it as a kid. Maybe if you’re circumcised when you’re young you’re just given much more time to loosen up, not to mention grow and stretch the skin naturally. I don’t know much about it really, it just seems silly to me that I would need lube to masturbate.

Maybe I’m just one of the lucky ones. But then again, like I said, I’ve never met a cut guy with that problem.

I know that people all have different opinions, and in the end the choice is mine.

And yes, of course I don’t like the idea of a knife near my dick, who would? But this is something that I am thinking of for a while now, and I am not really afraid that much:) .

Now to comment on the few last posts - when I am hard, my foreskin does not cover my whole glans, but a part of it. Enough so that if I want my glans uncovered, I have to pull the foreskin back myself. That I don’t like.
Other thing - during sex I notice that when I pull back the foreskin manually, so that the whole glans is uncovered, my girlfriend moans a lot more, and she told me she enjoys it.
Don’t get me wrong - she loves my penis and she wouldn’t want to change it, so this is not for her.

I love my penis the way it is, but this is something I would like to do for me.

Now on to the most important question I have - what are the risks of having such a procedure?

I’m cut and prefer to use lube, the dry method irritates my dick. However, I find dry jelqing at a 40% level erection rather soothing.

Don’t do it! I was circumcised at 19, by my own choice, mostly for aesthetic reasons and reasons of conformity. Virtually everyone was circumcised at that time, and it was really a rarity in my age group to be uncut. (This was 1960). I felt so different. Even my roommate at college told me he thought it was dirty not to be circumcised. But it was my choice. No one else made me do it. The doctor who performed it made a half-hearted attempt to talk me out of it.

I can’t tell you how much I regret having it done. The penis without a foreskin operates entirely differently and is much less sensitive because the mucosa isn’t constantly covered and moist and it dries out and becomes keratinized like the skin. Masturbation isn’t as easy as with a foreskin. Beforehand, I had no idea how much I would be missing.

I’ve done a lot of work restoring my foreskin, with only so-so results, and it’s really a long, hard process.

If I could undo the past, there are a handful of things I would do differently, and staying uncut is one of the biggies!

Think of it this way. In one of your posts further down, you mention that you can pull back the skin and you like the looks of it and your girlfriend likes the way it feels. You can leave it forward or pull it back. It’s like a convertible, you can have it either way you want. How much better than to have it cut off, so that you’ll only have it one way, and you may end up liking or not liking the results.

The thing about adult circumcision is that I can’t imagine what the feeling would be like, and there is no turning back.

Your experience is bad, but from what I’ve read everybody experiences it differently, so there is no guarantee, good or bad.

I can’t say that I have totally decided to do it, but I am close to that.

I’m cut and I would much rather be uncut. I have tried restoration and considered surgery to get it back. Do not cut it off!

I did it mostly for hygiene/aesthetic purposes. In all honesty, I would do again a million times over!
Especially after hearing all the problems uncut guys have with PE.

It took a couple months to completely heal. I did have some complications. I had a stitch come out and also
had some internal bleeding. My Dr had to come in about 2 AM and drain the blood off. I was bout 7” girth and
black as coal. It looked like a alien tentacle or something. But I healed up very nicely. As I said, I wouldn’t think
twice about doing it again.

I’m cut and if I’d had a choice I wouldn’t be.

But I’m not so upset about it that I have to restore anything.

I wouldn’t circumcise a son, were I to have one.

Mr.Happy, I think it is proper to give your child a choice on the matter, so that’s cool. It is interesting that a lot of cut guys would like to be uncut, perhaps simply because of the issue of choice.

Iguana, I must admit it is encouraging to hear a positive experience. I mean, not that bleeding out of your penis sounds good, but the overall attitude.

I agree wholeheartedly that, if I had had a son, I would not have had him circumcised. Actually, I have three daughters, but I do have one grandson, about 14 months old. I really went to bat for him, and he is NOT circumcised. I hope I will be as fortunate with future grandsons, if there are any.

I was circumcised when I was 12 and the skin healed partially over the glans (I believe it’s called a skin bridge) Now I have a weird looking penis. I would do anything not to have been circumcised. I’m sure the percentage of people that something like that happens to is extremely small but trust me you do not want to be in that small percentage.

I tried the restoring thing for awhile just so that it would make it a lot easier to gain in length, my opinion only, but it worked. I have gained into what I have restored, but I did like the look of being uncut, althought the skin that I did gain only covered a little over half my glands. During that time, part of my glands became moist and just a different type of skin and very sensitive. Now it is back to rough looking skin. I would rather be uncut. Don’t do it.

Tnt, why do you think it is easier to achieve length if you are uncut?

And yes, I do believe that how your dick looks depends on how skilled the doc is.
This cut look is something I plan to talk through with the doctor in detail. If he can’t guarantee to make my dick look the way I want it, then scratch that.
