Thinking about adult circumcision

Hello friends!

I would like some advice or comment from you, whether you have direct experience or not about the topic.
I am thinking about getting circumcised.
My reasons - aesthetic and PE related. But more aesthetic.

The thing is, I find a circumcised penis more pretty, and I really like mine when I pull the foreskin back.

The PE related reason is that simply I get the feeling that my PE is less efficient because of my foreskin. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t have a lot of foreskin in terms that it hangs of my wiener when flaccid.
It’s just that when I jelq, for instance, I have a feeling that all this skin moving around doesn’t really help.

So, I would be much obliged if someone would tell me how much the procedure costs, how long is your dick of limits due to healing; and of course maybe personal experience.

By the way, I am 26.

Ok…well then, what do you circumcised guys say…would you maybe rather be uncut?

I’m not sure about this either way, maybe in a few years I’ll change my mind. But I have a friend who had an adult circumcision, and he thought it was great. He said that sex was better circumcised, but masturbation was better uncut. Just my two cents worth.

For me the issue is sensitivity: a covered glans is more sensitive than an uncovered one. There are also a lot of nerve endings in the foreskin, which I will never have (but you do).

To me I’m used to being cut and can’t imagine being uncut, so because of that I prefer it this way.

You know, that’s maybe the one thing that bothers me - how would I masturbate? I mean, I know it’s not impossible, but I suppose it’s on a different principle.

On the other hand, one of the most annoying things is that uncut as I am, when I use a condom, it has a tendency to slip a bit off because of the moving of the foreskin inside.

I have these pros and contras, but I am definitely more for it.

But I read that cut guys aren’t much less sensitive than uncut guys.

This is true. I’ve lived in both worlds. I was circumsized at 37 years old. It was VERY sensitive for several weeks afterwards
but now I don’t feel much difference.

Consider that you are mechanically changing the way your penis is supposed to work by removing the skin that moves back and forth during intercourse.
Consider that you are permanently removing a considerable amount of erogenous skin. (You can later stretch shaft skin over your glans, but it won’t be the same and it is a lot of work) You will never have the same experience of your foreskin gliding over your glans again. The rigid band will be gone. I can only guess that it will be replaced with more of a friction like sensation(?), depending on lube levels.

I wouldn’t trade mine for anything, but at least your parents let you make the choice as a consenting adult.

If you are referring to the recent Montreal’s McGill University study, they didn’t even test points on the foreskin, which makes no sense to draw that conclusion (but that didn’t stop any of the reporters).

I think it is confusing when we talk about sensitivity though, because I think what a circumcised vs intact man feels are probably different kinds of nerve stimulation. I don’t think it is a matter of intensity of sensation, just different sensations.

I have always been playing with the idea of circumcision, however I don’t think I would ever get around to doing it. I love my penis too much to let anyone bring a scalpel near it :D

One of the reasons I always wanted to be circumcised was seeing that I was “different” in the locker rooms as a kid, but I’ve come to realize it’s fairly common and it actually has it’s strong points.

If you don’t mind me asking, why were you circumsized? Was it of your own choice or for some medical reason?

And also, which do you prefer, honestly?

Masturbation is so easy with a foreskin. No need to carry around any lube.

In terms of using a condom, I have not had that problem. When I’m hard, my foreskin moves back to reveal the glands and stays there. Then I put the condom on. The condom only slips off if I get soft…but it won’t slip off when I’m hard. Maybe you have more foreskin than me. I’m uncut, but I don’t have one of those foreskins that will cover my entire glands when I’m hard.

I do like the cut look as you do, but not enough to get circumcised.
