F me, every thread, everywhere. Its like a damn revolt, uncircumcised people doing their best to make us believers. Mommy, mommy,. I keep having this dream that an army of uncut guys was chasing me trying ti conceal my exposed glans. :eek: How many people are going to get circumcised as adults? Thats a rather silly notion. In the US as a child in my generaton, I was the ONLY kid not circumcised, and I was teased about it forever, like there was something wrong with me. Pre-internet my GF’s didnt even know what uncircumcised was. So that tells you how popuylar it was (sarcasm). In the society of the generation I live in, its normal. I dont know why anyone would feel it was necessay to share their views on this at the risk of offending others.

You’re right, Siam, the STD issue is still controversial, but most lit reviews do side with circumcision. All the purported benefits of being uncut are equally controversial, however. Nothing truly definitive on the topic has been established. If I were uncut, I’d probably stay that way for now. I’m happy cut though, also. I can’t relate to people’s fervent feelings on this issue either way.

Ramrod, are you serious? You are aware that circumcisions are almost always imposed upon helpless infants in the US, right? I don’t recall signing my foreskin away in the first few hours of my life, do you? Was there some paperwork I missed? Did I forget to file a Circumcision Exemption Form? If adults don’t like a natural penis and want to cut part of it off, by all means, go ahead. What I find repellent is the idea that you should be allowed to do this to a baby who isn’t even old enough to choose. Think about it this way: if you had your child’s pinky finger cut off at birth, you’d be arrested.

I think SiamGuy posted this with the best intention, and I think FM is very passionate about his viewpoint as he has seen both sides of the coin which I think most of us haven’t, and as such has probably argued this more times than he cares to.

I personally am happy with my crewneck (cut) penis and have never had girls complain that I wasn’t sporting a turtleneck (uncut) . I have heard that there is more that can go wrong with a penis that has a foreskin than can go wrong with one that doesn’t and that seems to make pretty decent sense- as I am cut I will NEVER have anything happen to my penis that could prevent me from pulling my foreskin back, like an infection, scar tissue on the foreskin, etc.

I have personally never heard of anyone that was cut as an adult that regretted it… most I have heard regretted that they didn’t get it done sooner. Anyone here cut as an adult regret it?

also after taking a quick look at the links it seems most of the data was compiled by very biased sources- like an anti circumcision group so as stated before the info is probably very biased.

BTW - when you choose to have your kids circumsized, you are given alot of literature for the arguments pro and con, so the parent does usually make an educated choice on the matter.
