Uncircumcised men, REJOICE!

This isn’t something I like to talk about, but I’m uncircumcised, and yes, sometimes it can get a little stinky down there. I’m a clean freak and I wash my pecker thoroughly with antibacterial soap every day, but sometimes it just gets a little smelly. I was afraid of allowing my wife to spontaneously blow me because I didn’t want her to encounter any unpleasant smells. I always wanted to wash up first, unless I had taken a shower within the last few hours.

Then I discovered Hibiclens, which is an antibacterial soap which doctors use to scrub their hands before surgery. The active ingredient is chlorhexidine, Unlike most antibacterial agents, chlorhexidine continues to kill bacteria even after it’s been rinsed away. Every day when I take a shower I now pull back the foreskin, pour on a little Hibiclens, and wash thoroughly. Then I let it stay on for a couple of minutes as I wash my hair, then I rinse it all off. Since I’ve started using it I never get the least bit stinky down there.

You can only get it at a pharmacy, I’ve never seen it at Walmart or the grocery store. I actually buy the generic version at Walgreens because it’s a couple of dollars cheaper and I like the consistency of it better. It’s a little more slippery than the name brand Hibiclens, and I have to admit that it makes a great lube for masturbating in the shower. (Not that I would ever do that… I’m just saying that it would if you were inclined to do such things.)

The bottle has a warning on it that says it is not for use on genitals, but that’s just to cover their asses. My doctor actually told me about it and he said washing one’s dick with it isn’t a problem.

Yes, that's a gain of 1.8 inches. And no... That's not my real picture.

We use hiBclens to arrest infections but I would never recommend it for routine use.

I would suggest you avoid antibacterial anything near your genitals because the last thing you need is a proliferation of evolved superbugs that are resistant to it.

For most guys, rinsing with clear water will maintain health and support a healthy balance of beneficial aerobic an anaerobic bacteria.

Yes, the strength of the aroma is proportional to the number of bacteria that thrive in the area, but the recommended way to keep them in check is to not leave a lot of skin debris for them to digest. The waste gas of the bacteria is what you smell. Just rub your glans and inner skin lightly under the shower stream and you’re set.

So there’s a trade-off and continuum between scrubbing (sterile) and suppleness (aromatic), but I don’t know why we think we need to have less of a genital aroma than females do.

Some of us wish we had foreskin. I was butchered with out choice.

Smelly dick, really?

I found out when I was 14 that pulling the foreskin before taking a piss made it stop smelling.

Been smell free for many years now.

Everybody should do that, unless you got phimosis in which case you need surgery.

Everyone has a different body. I don’t find I need anything more than a shower to feel fresh all day (or until I have sex.) For a man with stronger genital odor than he likes this sounds useful. I do avoid antibiotic or antibacterial anything unless I need it, because it increases their resistance to such things.

My exact thoughts. I still want to bring it up to my parents, but whats done is done. =(

Without being to dramatic on the subject of being circumcised I think its a form of child abuse (In my opinion, Not trying to offend anyone) only because the child has no choice in the matter. Unless for medical reasons it should not be performed unless the person wants it.

Loving my foreskin. Makes jerking off very easy.

I keep the foreskin pulled back much of the time so the glans stays dry and clean.

I never had the problem the OP mentioned despite being I am uncircumcised and absolutely loving it. I can imagine it can be a problem for guys with tighter foreskin but for most it is just a matter of personal hygiene.

I use coconut oil to control the bacterial growth and “dick cheese” works great but I still get an odor from urine.

It’s my own fault, I got my dick pierced when I was 19 so now if I have to pee standing up I need to cover the hole with my foreskin. This lets urine get under the foreskin and after a day or so it starts with a stale urine smell.

I kinda like it personally but chicks don’t so I make sure to just wash it before going out or getting down with someone.
As for an antibacterial, coconut oil beats anything man made by far.

The smell is caused by a yeast infection. I can go about 4-5 day without it smelling, after getting rid of the issue.

I was cut as an infant. I resented that very much as I was the only one in my neighborhood. There were about 10 boys who used to go skinny dipping when we were in junior high. I was the only one who was cut. I also had the largest member in the group.

Move ahead several years. I learned about foreskin restoration. Between 1991 and 1993 I utilized methods described in a publication titles “The Joy of Uncircumcising.”

Today I am most often taken for being uncut. I have even experienced a great increase in sensitivity. If I am not carefull with cleanliness I will develop an odor as well as a deposite of smegma.

Do I enjoy “The Joy of Uncircumcising?”

Very definitely. Would I do it again? That too is definitely a “YES.”

You are correct about yeast. Coconut oil has caprylic acid which kills yeast so I apply a thin coat after every shower.

Bacteria do not develop a resistance to Hibiclens, that possibility has been studied and found to be without merit. Just like alcohol, povidone Iodine, or benzalkonium chloride, bacteria do not develop a resistance to it.

You shouldn’t use antibacterial soap often.. And never on the dick.. There is a lot of good bacteria present, especially within the foreskin, that helps your body and keeps bad bacteria at bay. Using antibacterial soap kills the good stuff easier because the bad is more hearty.. You’re doing the opposite of what you intend.

Stop using the soap and rebuild a healthy flora and the stink will go away I’m sure. I’ve read about people putting plain (very plain!) Yogurt inside their foreskin for a moderately short time before rinsing with water to rebuild a healthy colony.

I know it sounds gross to want bacteria, but there is a ton of bacteria all over, and inside, your body that we NEED.
