Yes, just last night I read the article that Thunder posted, stickied in this forum. Fascinating.

Of course, mechanical problems such as venous leakage are more worrying, and as long as I’m in the clear in this respect then I’m a happy man. It makes sense that mental factors such as Performance Anxiety would come into play during actual intercourse, but these seem to be more a problem with state of mind, and thus much more easily overcome. It’s one of those mind-over-matter things, it seems to me, only the more you try to control the less control you have. It’s like an inverted mind-over-matter, but stil mind-over-matter. I used to have a much more serious mental problem with erections, including the stress-induced adrenaline release which you described above, but I’m much better now. I take this improvement as a sign that I am getting better and will probably continue to do so.

Thanks again for your help!

The surgery was done in April/96 Kingpole. I have no discomfort whatsoever. I was good 6mos after surgery re: discomfort.

As you may know, the blood supply to the glans is not the same as that to the shaft. A suggestion? When you have sex, use a cock ring and see if you don’t get the same expansion in the glans as you do with a PE clamp on.

I haven’t had the Doppler Color yet, I don’t have a cock ring, and I don’t know where to get it, I get a better expansion when erect, when I’m pressing the near base of my penis on my fat pad with 2 fingers, or when I’m surrounding the base of my penis with my hand and squeeze, the glans expand, do you think it is treatable?

When I talked to another urologist (he didn’t examine me) he told me that it’s in my head and that it’s not treatable, I know for a fact that it’s treatable but urologists don’t intend to support it (you can see Yataghan50 experience, he went to 7 urologists and they all told him that it’s in his head and in the end an interventional radiologist helped him) so I don’t know what should I go for.

Thanks a lot.

I hate how urologists say “it’s all in your head.” I think we’d know if it was all in our heads. Who wouldn’t want it to be all in the head?

Yes but the urologist I’ve been too wasn’t like that, he didn’t told me thats it’s in my head, so I’m afraid he will do that in the near future.

You can get a cock ring at any adult store. They all sell them.

It is common in some men for the glans not to swell much during an erection. What is important is that there be a good erection, not that the glans gets fat. Venous leakage is shaft related, as in Cernunnos’ question.

If you believe that you have venous leakage, the way to find out if you do (or you don’t) is to have the Doppler test. But expect any urologist to question you about the quality of your erections, not about how much your glans expands. If you have good erections and can sustain one during intercourse or masturbation, he is going to assume you don’t have venous leakage and be reluctant to do the test.
