Alright, this may be an ignorant post, since I am inexperienced, but the two girls I have been with have had foul smelling pussies. Neither said they had an STD, and one girl I had sex with didn’t smell once, but that was it. How the hell does anyone have sex with a girl with a smelly pussy? I find it a huge turn off. Are a large percentage of girls like this? I find it ironic that they spend a ton of time buying things to make their body and hair smell good, but when they get down to business they open up a pile of pootang fish juice. ICCCCKKKKK!!!!!

You might simply have had bad luck, hunglo - there are some women out there, but not many, whose pussies just stink a lot of the time, even without infections or STDs. You probably also have a sensitive nose.

Usually, however, a woman’s odor will be mild and sexy as long as she has bathed recently and there are no infections. Now, of course, you never want to tell a girl that her pussy reeks, so the strategy to use here is to give positive feedback when things are clean and fresh (no comment when otherwise). You could, for example, convince her at some point to take a shower with you as a sexual prelude — women dig that stuff — then, when going down on her, spend more time and be more vigorous than usual, commenting on how fresh and tasty she is :) . If she’s at all observant, she will probably try to “refresh” things down there before dates in the future.

If you caught her a couple days before her period, that may be the smell. That is how I know my girl is going to have her period.

I work in a gynecological environment. All of my patients are pregnant women. The ones near term rarely have an odor problem, but about half of those in early pregnancy (6-12 weeks) suffer from what the nurses call “RPS,” rotten pussy syndrome. They stink and sometimes it can make the whole room unbearable. Being pregnant may have something to do with it, but since not every patient has this problem, hygiene certainly plays a part.

There is a normal vaginal odor, similar to the one uncircumcised men have, which can be neutral or even erotic or pleasant to some. Daily rinsing with plain water (for both men and women) will prevent this natural odor from getting ripe. And it does so quickly, within a day or so if they don’t keep themselves clean.

What to do? Do you risk offending her by telling her she stinks? Perhaps start by saying how much you want to please her by going down on her, but you aren’t able to because you’re not used to the scent (that word sounds better than “odor” or “stink”). Whether you should go as far as suggesting a douche depends on your relationship with her and how open your communication is.

I can definitely tell this with my wife, and have picked up on several other women as well that I work around or have met socially, (I’ve got a very sensitive sense of smell).

I guess it’s just a good early warning system if you can detect it (any warning about PMS is a good thing).
