White bumps on shaft

I have noticed a couple of small lighter coloured bumps like little pimples develop near to the base of my shaft
And they have stayed here for probably about 4 months. Just wondering if anyone else has ever got them or know what they are. They are really small and are just sitting there on the skin of my dick and are not at all uncomfortable.

I am a bit of a late developer so could it be something that any of you got at any stage in your sexual development? Just a guess.

Those are completely normal. Infact, almost every guy has them. I have them, and it prompted me to do some research. I found out that they’re just little bumps that don’t cause any harm. It’s kind of like acne, but not really preventable. I admit that it scared the crap out of me at first, as I thought I had genital warts, but after research, I realized that I’m okay. If you’ve never had sex, and you just have little bumps near your hair folicles, you’re completely normal.

Thanx :) but what does not having sex have to do with it? Just curious, coz I’ve only ever had sex twice (but the second time was with the girl of my dreams so thats ok I guess)

They are called sebaceous glands, I thought the same thing as well. Still wish they weren’t there.

Yes they are prominent sebaceous glands. I have them around my base and on the underside of my shaft. It used to really bother me, and I thought girls would freak out when they saw them. But none ever have. Its completely normal. Hope this helps

Since the sebaceous glands are akin to a pimple on the face, is there some sort of medication which could be used to treat them? I assume any facial medication would be far too harsh for genital skin, but would a sensitive skin formula be acceptable, or am I just stuck with them until the resolve themselves?

No, they’re not the same. A pimple (from acne ) is the result of a blocked sebaceous gland with an associated infection. The white stuff is pus (dead white cells and bacteria) which is different from the waxy sebum being discussed here. Acne treatments wouldn’t help. These white spots are common and normal. Many guys have them.
