It’s The Process Not Just 1 Thing

Seeing posts asking what is the best…or the 1 thing… for results. As mentioned above, I think you need the right conditions AND routine. For routine the majority of my time is hanging tension, but I do a lot of other things each session as well, for different reasons; warm up, injury prevention, blood flow, stress angles & phases and recovery. So this includes ADS, wet and dry jelqs, stretches and a short pump or CR. My opinion is that the hanging does the most, but when you couple the other thing, then you are maximizing your efforts.

Time seems to be a big hurdle with everyone. When it is for me, and I have to only do one thing, I do the weighted ADS over everything else.

These are my ADS options.

Look At Your Results And Make Adjustments

But what do you do when your results analysis says you should switch things up, BUT you are still making steady gains with your current routine?

I have had a very good 4 month run of steady gains in every metric. However, the flaccid gains have outpaced the erect gains. Flaccid girth has increased and produced EG for the first time in a very long time. In fact I had settled on the idea that I just can’t make girth gains (years), then boom 1/4 inch in a very short period since seeing flaccid gains. But BPEL gains have been small and slow contrasted to great gains in flaccid length (hang and stretched) to the point where BPSFL is now roughly 1.5 inches more than BPEL.

My thoughts drift to I should switch my routine to force the BPEL gains. However, I keep talking myself into not changing “A Thing” until gains stop, and I have plateaued. This seems right especially considering the girth gains that came out of no where. Stay the course man, stay the course.

For Information Only

I don’t say this in any way disputing others experiences or hoping others follow what I am doing. It is just information.

The steady gains have been continuing without more than a one or two day break in the last 4 months. Maybe 3 days off total. This is way longer than at any other time in my PE endeavors. However, when looking back over years of data, too many de-conditioning breaks was one thing that caught my eye. I look at progress every 10 days and continually monitor PI’s, so since it is where it needs to be, I will keep going. It all could change tomorrow, but I have already, in advance, determined what indicators will trigger a change, and until that happens…

I guess I will attribute this fortunate run to; warm ups, full time heating, a custom built program and moderation in intensity, 2-3 % strain, not overdoing it.

It works that way for me, too. Logically gains would be tiny and accumulate over time; in practice, I see months of nothing, then sudden jumps.

That’s a lot more of a difference than most guys report. Average seems to be about 3/4".

What that might mean, I don’t know.

Don’t mess with it if it’s working!

Me neither, though I think (or at least hope) it means EL gains are on the way.
