Hey guys,

Let me preface this by saying thanks to all for the insight this website provides. I know that there are articles to read before getting started, along with routines, and FAQ’s. I fully understand it’s a marathon and not a sprint so I’m FULLY prepared to put in the dedication and time.

I’m a 34 Asian male that has never had any issues with getting women or confidence. Except for the size of my penis. I’m currently about 5-5.5 inches and my goal is to get to 8.5 inches because I know you may lose some of your gains. My permanent goal is 8. Again, I know this much of a gain will take years or it may never happen.

I’ve read the basics on other people’s experiences, gains, and injuries. And quite frankly I’m on the fence because as great of success stories I’ve read, I’ve equally seen horrible stories of permanent damage. The truth is, like many getting started, I won’t know if it works until it does or if I sustain life altering damage. I’m committed to putting the time in to learning and reading everything and everywhere, but would like some guidance if possible. There’s this website plus subreddits, and all of it is a bit overwhelming on where to begin, which website / subreddit / method to follow.

Some questions I have are as followed:

- What’s everyone’s thought on the best methods - Jelqing, Angion, Multiple ways, Pumps, Hanging, Clamping, Other? And which method is safest? It seems the modern opinion is that jelqing is the least safe and is actually much more advanced than initially thought to be.

- What’s the best place to go for information - Here, subreddits such as AJelqForYou, GettingBigger, AngionMethod, or PEGym?

- Where’s the best place in terms of reading to get started, programming, and learning?

- Does having foreskin affect the way in which you do exercises?

- Is it worth the risk of permanent damage and permanent loss of use of your penis?

- For people that have been injured, but ultimately successful. Was it worth it?

- For anyone injured, do you regret it?

- Are gains truly permanent or will they go down after a few years?

- Will doing this cause ED down the line when you’re much older?

- How much time per day / week do you need to put in?

I realize this is a lot of questions and I don’t expect anyone to answer all of them, but these are things that I’ve been wondering about for years. Like all of you, I want to get bigger and I will do whatever it takes to get it done, but I’m truly scared I could cause damage which would render my penis useless such as a venous leak or something else.

Since you’re just starting and planning for the long haul, I suggest you buy one of those “clone-a-willy” or similar penis casting kits. They’re a plastic sleeve with dental alginate and castable plastic. You use it to make a plastic duplicate of your penis.
The kits are a bit expensive and the alginate is tricky to use; it has a very fast setup time. Find some reviews and read them so you don’t have to do it twice.

Failing that, measure length and girth and make a cardboard cylinder you can hold in your hand and do a direct comparison as you progress. It won’t show how your shape changes, but it’s better than nothing.

Don’t throw the used kit away. You can get alginate on eBay to do a refill and make another cast every year or so.

Thunder’s lets you enter your personal statistics on a publicly viewable page. In a couple of decades that has become a sizeable database. There are a couple of threads where members have analyzed the data. 1” can be reasonably expected. 2” is much less common. The handful of claims of 3” have been questioned, given it’s self-reported information. And there are a few members here, for ten years or more, who have put in thousands of hours and seen no gains at all.

Not trying to harsh your mellow, but just pointing out there are no guarantees.

A lot of those stories are from people who ignored the warnings and tried to rip their dick off by jelquing. Pulling harder doesn’t necessarily make for faster progress, but some people will manage to hurt themselves anyway.

Pick one that matches your circumstances - privacy is usually the main factor - and run with it. Thunder’s recommends jelquing to start with because the investment is zero; your hand, some lube, and a private place are all you need.

We’re not trying to sell you anything on Thunder’s, and we don’t have moderators using their position to promote their products.
We’re serious about what we’re doing, and bozos usually wander off somewhere else before they become a problem. And we have a *massive* archive going back more than 20 years.

I think you’re overestimating the possibility of such damage. Why don’t you just kick back and poke around the forum for a while? Do some searches on the kind of damage you’re worried about, see how it happened and how it was dealt with. Talk to the guys who did it; members come, members go, but some will still be here, or at least pop in occasionally.

Maybe you’ll decide to stay with what you have and not try any PE work. That’s OK too; you’re still welcome to join in.
