Anyone doing manual stretching with scale?

Anyone doing manual stretching with scale?

Anyone doing manual stretching with hook scale?

Can you report how many Kgs or Lbs are you using?

I just checked. This is an average for my manual stretches (give or take 10%) which have relatively short duration.

3.80 kg - Up
3.56 kg - Straight out
3.15 kg - Down
3.42 kg - Between the cheeks
0.96 kg - ADS varies greatly throughout the day

I have calibrated my manual stretching with a scale few times. The average settles at 6kg using V - grip. Pointing the stretch towards the hip (northwest/northeast), I am able to pull up to 9kg for 30 seconds before losing the grip.

When connective tissue is stretched within therapeutic temperatures ranging 102 to 110 F (38.9- 43.3 C), the amount of structural weakening produced by a given amount of tissue elongation varies inversely with the temperature. This is apparently related to the progressive increase in the viscous flow properties of the collagenous tissue when it is heated. (Warren et al (1971,1976)

Using velcro wristwrap to hook the scale attached on elastic excercise band. Leather glove could be second choice for hooking the scale on.

Great idea Kyrpa! Since I recently got a Velcro wrist wrap. I’ll try it some time later.

Is this something just for calibration of your tug, or something you feel worth doing on a regular basis?

Mainly for calibrating because I prefer to stretch in various angles and directions and it is tricky to perform.

When I need to have accurate data I can attach the scale assembly on some furniture and move my body position to adjust the load.

But with carefully picked stretch directions it should be doable in regular basis.
