Are there any vitamins to increase Blood circulation

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any vitamins to increase blood circulation? I am 27 years old and have broken my left foot 3 times, right ankle 5 times and my left hand twice, and basically all my fingers numerous times. I have been having a real problem lately with my hands and feet becoming very cold and getting the numbness feeling. I went to the doc a few days ago and wants me to do blood work tomorrow morning and possibly putting me on blood thinners.

I was just wondering if there were any daily supplements to help me out instead of being on meds for the rest of my life. Also a side note, I have noticed lately that my EQ hasn’t been that great. My girlfriend has even mentioned that my sex-drive has decreased in her eyes. Do you think the circulation problems are hindering my EQ and potential gains in the future?

You might want to try L-arginine, nattokinase and fish oil.

I took L-arginine in the form of nitrix and n.o.-xplode as a weightlifting supplement, deff had some positive effects as far as blood flow, hemodilation in muscles, harder erections, and more libido. You got nothin to lose, give it a shot.

Gingko Biloba (an herb) is awesome for blood flow. Consider having a diabetes test done also Red. Poor blood flow to the feet is often a possible indicator. Don’t be alarmed, its just not a bad idea considering your having the blood work done anyhow.

Why did you break bones repeatedly? Ginkgo and arginine are good but Gprent is right do a lot of research before combining blood thinners.

Eat lots of watermelon. Apparently there’s something in it that’s good for blood flow.

kingpole, i broke most of my bones in sports growing up, also a few moto-cross accidents and working. i have tried L-arginine, and it gives me a really bad feeling, almost like being on speed or XTC. feel hot and sweaty, racing heart beat and really queezy. i took it only for 4 days and it got worse each day i took it.

hopefultohanglow, had a sugar test done numerous times, and im all good, they tested for it again this morning, but doc says its mostly do to bone injury and never following through with proper re-hab.

Just out of curiosity, how much L-arginine were you taking when it made you feel bad? I take 2 grams per day, 1 in the morning and 1 at night and I don’t feel it at all.

Yeah I took probably atleast 8000 grams a day on workout days (maybe 5-6 on fof days) felt nothing except bigger muscles, more energy in the gym, and a tingly feeling at times when flexing.

That would be 8 grams, or 8000 mg. :)

Keeping warm helps circulation as well. Sometimes when my hands and feet are cold a hot tea really helps.
