Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

Anyways, anyone care to comment on my question?

Yes, you should stop smoking and get more exercise. :)

That’s pretty solid advice, can’t go wrong with that, obviously. I’m planning on doing so anyway.

BUT, is it normal for BPFSL to be longer that BPEL? Maybe even almost an inch?

I think I’ve seen guys post that theirs is, but the impression I’ve gotten is most start out with their bpel slightly longer pre pe, and then after a while the bpfsl catches up, and then passes the bpel. It’s thought this is an indication that bpel gains will follow afterwards. So who knows, maybe you have a head start in the process?

Hmmm.. I was afraid of that. I like beenthere’s explanation more, but yours makes more sense..

The thing is, the results of the studies don’t make any sense.

Quote
Study 1 - 80 American men:
EL (100% erection induced by drug injection) = 5.08”. FSL = 4.88”.
UPDATE (07/18/2005): It appears (from reading another source) that the 5.08” figure is non-bone pressed.

The NBPEL is longer than the NBFSL ?? Maybe because of the drug injection, but still..

Quote
Study 3 - 3,300 Italian men:
FSL = 4.92”.

Even if it’s NBFSL, the difference being -10%, the NBPEL would only be 4.43” for the Italian studs. As an average, that seems impossible to me.

desmad,

Since the 80 American men were .20 longer nbpel than their nbfsl, why not figure the Italian men are more likely to add .20 than subtract .20? By the way, you not only went in reverse logic with the comparison, you also subtracted way more —-.49 vs .20.

Why did you assume 10%? Why did you assume subtracting when the study showed addition? My flaccid stretch was shorter pre pe, by about the amount as shorter in the American men study (-.20). I believe most guys that have mentioned it have said their flaccid stretch was shorter to begin with, but I’ve seen otherwise posted. I may be mistaken, but usually I have a very good memory. Usually after PEing for a while most guys say their flaccid becomes longer. Much of this is scattered over many threads in bits and pieces. A poll was done, but it didn’t ask pre pe vs post pe, so I don’t see how it can be useful for this.

That’s how I interpreted the numbers at first (bpel>fsl), mainly because the figures from the American men study speak for themselves. I got confused when I found out my own FSL is larger than my BPEL, and when Slack said that normal.

I’m confused.

If you are correct, then the only explanation I see is that the few stretches I’ve done up to now have already had an effect. I’d LIKE to be believe that..

The 10% was just a wild guess. I just imagined you can only get enough blood into your dick to make it 90% of the length you can possibly stretch it to. But I’m a newbie, so what do I know?

Well for guys who are 18 to 25 and don’t have an ounce of fat on you it easy to say that the bone pressed thing is something we fat older guys made up to make ourselves feel better about our size. For those of us who have put on a few pounds over the years it an absolute fact. I measure a full inch less than I did when I was 20 years old. And for those of you who haven’t made it to the mid-years yet it going to be a surprise for you. You won’t be so quick to laugh at the bone pressed measure idea. I know that the dick is there because I had it and now it’s gone. Where did it go, well it’s still there it’s just covered up by years and a lot of pork chops. DOP

Crap! Now I have to do a ton of research about FSL. My FSL is maybe 1/16”-1/8” less than my EL. The small difference I attributed to expansion of the glans when erect but all in all I was thinking FSL was a good alternative to erect measurements especially considering I have a banana-shaped dick so I have to bend the ruler.

I didn’t think there would be a significant difference between FSL and EL for other guys either but it looks like I’m wrong and I have to re-evaluate my assumptions. In any case, it will allow me to track both measurements and see if I follow the trend indicated in an earlier post where eventually FSL is longer than EL and see whether there’s an acceleration of my gains subsequent to that.
