Beginner routine questions

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading up on and off about PE for over a year. Began a beginner routine and didn’t stick to it very well. Fast forward one year, I have been PE-ing for about 6 weeks now. The results have been very satisfying. I have gained 0.5 inches in BPEL, and little over 0.3 inches in EG. My flaccid hang is a full 1 inch longer and is definitely thicker.

I’ve been using the beginner routine, but progressively working up weekly from 5 min stretching and 10 min jelqing to 10 min stretch and 30 min jelq over the six weeks (2 days on 1 day off). Currently I am at 10 min warm up, 10 min stretches, 30 min jelqing.

My concerns are, I was reading about how some people continue the 5 min stretch + 10 min jelq routine for up to a year and see good gains. My question is, if I have been gaining, should I continue to increase the intensity and duration or may I be losing out on a lower intensity workout period that would provide good gains for a substantial amount of time (before I have to increase intensity and duration).

Also, if I am to increase the intensity and duration of my stretches and jelqing, what is a recommended routine or additional exercises after 10 min stretches + 30 min jelqing? Would it stop gains if I revert back to a 6 min stretch 15 minute jelq for a few months (2 days on 1 day off)?

Responses and advice is greatly appreciated.

Started 9/26/11 : BPEL 6.5in / EG 4.8in
Now 11/3/11 : BPEL 7in / EG 5in

Why would you want to change the routine that has given you +1/2”s X +1/3”s in under 2 months?

Because I was reading on the other routines that entailed doing the beginners routine (10min-stretch+10min-Jelq) anywhere from months to a year and getting substantial gains. I was concerned about progressing the routine too fast in the start and then getting to a point where I need to apply so much more intensity and time to receive any gains in the future.

Whereas maybe sticking to [6 min stretch +15 min Jelq] for three to six months might maximize my gaining potential at this [Bracket], before I have to increase the intensity to see more gains.

That was a rhetorical question sir! My point being, if you are gaining from what you are doing don’t increase it at all.

I would give that a try.
