Can You Have Too Much Variety in Stretching?

Can You Have Too Much Variety in Stretching?

My current stretching routine consists of 4 sets. Each set is constructed as follows:

Straight Out - 30 s.
BTC - 60 s.
Straight Out Bundled - 60 s.
Straight Up - 30 s.
Left - 30 s.
Right 30 s.
V Stretch - 60 s.
Inverted V - 30 s.

Obviously, I warm up and down. I follow the stretching with 20 - 30 minutes of wet jelq.

Here’s my question: Is working all these varies stretches together good? Or have I introduced so much variety that I will actually toughen my penis, rather than lengthen it? Basically, is a balanced approach OK, or should I really consider a routine concentrating on fewer methods?

I’m not sure it is good. If you feel you are getting lig gains at the moment concentrate on the BTC and the V-stretch.

If you feel you need to be attacking the tunacae, consider the Inverted-V and longer hold stretches maybe as much as 3-5 minute hold preferrably heated.

Personally I don’t like the idea of bundled stretches. I didn’t like them when 7-up started talking about them and I don’t much like the concept now. The V-stretch is a controlled method of changing the attack points on a penis and the bundled stretch is a way of crushing bits of your penis and stretching with uncontrollable stress levels in small portions of the tunica. Even wrapping the penis around a stick doesn’t imo help.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if anyone else would like to chime in with an opinion.

I’m going to second what mem said.

I think grouping the stretches into lig and tunica groups and then say do the lig group for a couple of weeks and then do the tunica group for a couple of weeks. This way of adding variety stimulates growth.

I agree with mem concerning bundled stretches but I don’t see any problem with the variety. I myself do a variety of stretches. But instead of doing 1 stretch and moving on to the next I will do say, 4 BTC, then 4 SO, then 4 straight up, etc. until I’m done. However, I alternate between left and right stretches.

If you want to add a new dimension to the BTC stretch, try this.

When using your right hand for the BTC grip, assume the stretch position and then put your left foot up on the bathroom counter top for a combined hamstring/BTC stretch. Hold for 60 seconds. Then repeat for the other side. Grip with the left hand and right foot on the counter top.

So would you guys be saying then that workin both the ligs and the tunica in the same stretching session, is counter-productive?

Good question.. But is there a proven answer??

I think all stretches work the tunica and downward stretches get the ligs involved. It’s not counter productive to do both, but some guys think it’s good to give the ligs a break once and a while.

Hmm, i usually do more lig stretching than anything else

gprent101, I love this stretch, it’s probably what got me to 7”BP (and beyond), but sometimes I find it easier to grab BTC with my right hand/right leg up, then put my right leg down and raise my left leg (then reverse and repeat).

just an idea for anyone who finds getting into this position awkward. Also, I sometimes stretch SD like this, when I stop feeling any “pull” BTC.

Aug 2011: smaller. My recommendation? Don't quit PE for 5 years and gain 50 lbs. Sept 2011 FL: 3" NBPEL: 5.5" BPEL: 6.5" BPFSL 7.75"

IMO, if you’re just beginning PE you should stretch some in all directions every session. My reasoning is you’ll touch on and probably break through your easiest limiting factors the quickest this way. Plus, I think in the early weeks/months the specifics of your routine don’t matter much as long as it is reasonably sane and includes some stretches and jelqs and is performed consistently.

However, there comes a point where a focus is beneficial. Those who don’t get easy, newbie gains in the beginning or guys who are past them should focus available time on either ligs or tunica. The reasoning behind this suggestion is simple. Say you have 20 minutes to stretch each session. Spending all that time stretching down for ligs or up/out for tunica puts more stress on the targeted tissues than what they would receive if you were to spend your time stretching willy-nilly in all directions. As Bib says, divide and conquer. Choose a direction and focus your effort on it.
