Some people have indicated in their posts that a post workout cooldown helps to cement gains and maintain a larger flaccid after workouts. I’ve been doing this for about 2 weeks (yeah I know) and I suspect it does *help* in this regard.
I have a wet paper towel in a ziplock bag in the freezer. I thaw it out beforehand so it can conform to any surface, and then apply it for 2 minutes post hanging. I warm up and maintain some heat throughout my workout, and ultimately remove heat about 10 minutes prior to the end of my workout. Upon finishing the last 10 minutes of my final hanging set, I apply the cold for 2 minutes.
I can’t stress enough that others have made it a point to not apply the cold for any more than 2.5 minutes and I would not exceed 2.5 minutes.

Edit: In the last 2 weeks I’ve also incorporated an "ADS" method which might also help. I’ve introduced both the cool down and this method in the last two weeks, so hard to say which is contributing most to flaccid hang. Sorry, I don’t have a link but I found this on Thunders and copied it to my notes. My ADS is slightly different, using a different cloth and ace bandage but the same principle applies. ALWAYS. Check it every 15 minutes to ensure proper blood flow.
Free ADS Method: Sweat Shirt Cloth, Theraband, Ace bandage:
Wrap with the cloth material first on the flaccid shaft HALF-WAY between the head and base.
Just wrap tight enough for the cloth to stay on.
Then wrap with Theraband with some tension.
Next, watch some porn or do a little stimulation.
When you feel the pressure build up on the base side of the wrap, slowly slide the wrap TOWARD THE BASE.
You will feel and see the blood go on the head side of the wrap. If it does not, then the wrap is too tight.
Then, you can slide the wrap toward the head a little to avoid excessive lateral skin stretch.
The head and upper shaft should go ahead and fill the rest of the way by itself.
Once you get this technique down, you can put the wrap where you wish and do the same thing. It is probably easier if you do it at mid-shaft to begin with.
