Clamping vs pumping

I’m not going to be clamping or pumping anytime soon, but I do have a question about it. When you clamp, you clamp the very base of you dick. After clamping, everything above where you clamped is swollen and filled with blood, awesome! But what about the base? Is from where you clamp down just going to stay the same size? Won’t that look weird? When I imagine myself pumping, I see the entire penis being engorged, from the very base to tip, but I heard it doesn’t entirely get filled with blood unlike clamping and is not very effective unlike clamping. Am I right so far? And whats your comments on the base issue for clamping?

You actually gain more base girth than anything when clamping. Some believe it is due to the reverse pressure the clamp is causing on the penile tissue. I don’t really know for sure though.


one month in (as of 02/12/09): 8.15" BPEL, 7.4" NBPEL, 5.6"EG, (5"-6.5" varying) FL, 4.75" FG, Height: 6'1", Weight: 190 lbs.

Currently (as of 04/3/09): 8.50" BPEL, 7.6" NBPEL, 5.7"EG, (5.5"-7" varying) FL, 4.75" FG, Height: 6'1", Weight: 175 lbs. (final semester of Computer Science > Gym :( )

Goals (in the next 6 months): 8.60" BPEL, 7.8" NBPEL, 6" EG, 7" FL, 5" FG, (still hopefully 6'1"), Weight: 200 lbs.

Oh wow, that totally changes everything I had planned. You think clamping and pumping together would be over doing it?

I had always wondered how these guys who said they gained alot of girth with clamping, Still had the same size base or even larger size base as the rest of their penis.

It made me really skeptical on some impressive girth photo’s I have seen.

Yeah, to me it seems unrealistic. But if there’s people saying it works, and have photos to prove it. It doesn’t hurt to believe it works.

Does someone here have any experience with clamping and have seen great gains? Photos, would help boost a lot of people confidence. If no photos then some words of wisdom would be great too.

My experience is that clamping and pumping is over training. I recently stopped clamping because I feel I get much better EQ from pumping, and clamping even just one set daily is a little too much for myself, it lowers my EQ.

Ok, I would imagine not everybody is like that. Maybe if you alternate it would be better?

If I have time, I clamp after pumping. I have not noticed any detrimental side-effects. Quite the contrary. More typically, though, I only have time to do one or the other. Most of my clamping is done in bed in the early morning (using an air clamp, for its silence, as described in another thread) before I get up. Most of my pumping is done while getting ready for work, i.e., while showering, shaving etc.

I clamp first to gain a fatter rod from the inside out and immediately pump afterwards to keep that expansion from pressure on the outside. It works quite well. Most of the new girth stays till the next day if not longer. Just know I’ve been conditioning for years and it takes time to do that. Also, clamping and pumping will cause discoloration….just so you know.

clamping is almost pointless without a lot of heat. Keep that in mind. Same goes for pumping. Don’t underestimate the use of heat. I have a space heater, heat pad, and IR lamp.

What kinda of discoloration? Like am I going to have half purple and half yellow dick? And as long as I clamp or pump, or both. I have to make sure to apply heat.. That wouldn’t be hard to remember.

I think most guys prefer one or the other. I like clamping cause I just feel it gives me more expansion, and more control. Pumping feels great but its a hassle for me. Not to mention a cable clamp is far more durable, and cheaper than the pump and all its parts. I can also have more control of the intensity of my sets with clamping. If I don’t feel like getting a raging hard-on, then I do low intensity clamping that day. The pump forces me to get a killer hard-on whenever I use them (I have really high eq)

I’m sure you can mix the two together just fine if you want. Just don’t do multiple sets of each: ie. If you normally start at 4 sets at five minutes of clamping, or pumping in your routine - start with two sets of each at five minutes.

I started out much slower and incorporated five minutes of low intensity clamping in between my stretching and hanging sets.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Wow, are you kidding me? If I have to go through that I’m not doing it. I’ll just stick to jelqing ad stretching, and when I stop gaining, then tough shit for me. How am I supposed to explain my discoloration to my girl if I’m trying to keep this whole thing a secrete? Nope. Totally lost interest.
