How tight should tape measure surround the shaft for correct girth measurement? Is it done with any pressure or do you just loop the shaft with the least amount of pressure?

I make it slightly snug to make sure the tape measure has full contact with my penis. I wouldn’t think it would matter much for erect girth, maybe so for measuring flaccid.

With all things in measurement being consistent is important. Use the same pressure for bone pressed, the same snugness for girth. Use the same ruler and same tape measure. The primary purpose of measurement is to recognize change when it happens. It is not for bragging or stroking your ego.

Ok maybe a little bit for ego stroking.

What about skin during measurement? I don’t know how I would rate my EQ but even if it feels / almost painful hard. There is still a soft layer of skin. Especially base girth. Being consistent in this regard is very difficult cause having same level of erection for every measurement isn’t guaranteed. I also saw the “thin vs. fat erection” debate here. Do you ignore the skin padding and don’t push the tape measure until you feel the hard part?

I’m unfamiliar with thin vs. fat erections conversation so can’t comment specific to that point.

Measuring accurately can be difficult when one has poor EQ. I have ED so measuring is always a challenge. Getting your wife/gf/fb/so to blow you while you get the tape ready is not always a viable option. Or maybe that’s just my situation.

I would recommend to only measure when EQ is at its best. Measuring any other time is less useful to understand how you are progressing. If you can only regularly get to 80% EQ, then use that as your benchmark.

I agree with this. Best time to measure is at peak EQ. If it has to be artificial EQ (viagra, cialis whatever) then so be it. As far as pressure on the tape make sure it makes contact. I generally take something when I measure, I don’t necessarily have ED but I’m ruler shy for some reason.
