Do Traction Devices Produce Permanent Results

Hey everyone, this is mu first time on the forum, and I really need some help.

Basically, I decided to use an extender device (penimaster pro) for length gain, I plan to wear it for over a year. I’ve seen urologists and actual medical papers stating that extenders trigger cell division through mitosis, which leads to permanent length gain.

However, recently I stumbled upon a video, that states that the only way to increase length permanently, is through extending the suspensory ligaments, and that extenders fail to achieve this.

Hence my question to someone experienced is as follows:

-do extenders cause ligament extension?

-and is there anyone who gained permanent results from just using the extender?

It would help if you posted a link to the video for which you want a rebuttal.

Extenders work well for some guys but not so well for other guys. I used one for about 5 years and gained about 3/4.” Dicks respond better to devices after they have been conditioned.

It is always recommended to start with a beginners routine (doesn’t have to be the JP) and continue with it for 90 days or until you stop gaining. Start slowly and build up to the full routine over a few weeks.

Jelq with an erection level between 40 and 70%. Do not grip too tight, just enough to feel blood moving up the shaft . When stretching, grab your shaft about one inch below the glans and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel a slight stretch. Let your PIs be your guide as to how hard to do your exercise.

Don’t forget to take good starting measurements and photos so you have a solid base to compare your gains to.

Drwarren1942, has there ever been a time where you stopped using the extender for a year +? I’m asking to see if the gains you made stayed with you after a period of not using the extender.

Length gains are, in my view, triggered by a couple of factors - ligamentory stretching and actual tissue elongation. While suspensory ligaments are fairly easy to stretch, they are mostly limited to no more than an inch of gain before being soft enough to stop yielding the gains you strive for.
Meanwhile, tissue growth through cell division can be considered as a permanent gain since more cells = more volume.

Nevertheless, ligaments and tendons also suffer from atrophy and the “permanent gains could be easily lost, especially in the ligament section. This is why most of the post-decon guys report growth - mostly due to ligaments re-stretching. This is where maintenance PE comes into play. Some guys use ADS, some guys do light almost Newbie Routine stretching just to prevent the tissues from reverting into their prior state.

For me, the best known technique fir permanent tissue growth is the ultrasound method, since it involves heat, which is proven to have a restructuring effect on tendons under strain. The US method does not exclude other methods, such as hanging, stress relaxation, creep, even manuals and extender use.

I have been off my extender for about two years; however, I still pump regularly and my length gains have not been lost.

Damn, that might be a problem for me, my flaccid length is definitely going to make things difficult if I really have to move back a whole inch from the glands.

Flowsky, thanks flor the advice) But what’s your opinion on traction devices like extenders? Do you think that they can produce results that last years later? It’s just, so many people promote hanging as the ultimate way for permanent gain, and I don’t get why extenders are overlooked in this regard

However, many people believe that gains attained with extenders aren’t permanent, and that hangers should be used instead.
Are there any experienced extender device users, that have worn an extender for a year+ and haven’t lost their gains after stopping using the extender? This would show to whether they are truly effective .

I used an extender for several years, and got good gains. I then took a break that lasted 3 years ( or moore, I don’t remember), and I did not loose any of what I have gained. I started up again with the extender later on, and are now gaining again, so yes it does work.

Okay, let me elaborate. Every device or method, which promotes cell growth and not ligament stretch should be considered a “permanent gain” device. Extenders work via the stress relaxation technique, where a given amount of tension is applied over a time period. With hanging, most users tend to switch to the creep technique, where the weight is increased in increments in a specific duration. While both methods have their pros and cons, there is no single “holy grail” method of elongating your schlong to the moon, as noted by Kyrpa in his marvelous ultrasound thread.

However, modern penile science, which we are a big part of, has stressed this enough already - everything is good, as long as you use it with caution, steady pace, and biblical dedication. Some people have toughened penile structures - tunicas and septum, which needs to be addressed with adding therapeutic heat to the equation.

Read Kyrpa’s threads, they are a dissertation on dick stretching. I found out the minimum and maximum amount of tension for my current situation, which can help permanently elongate the tunica albuginea.
However, I would suggest you to focus on ligament stretching, since those gains are easier to achieve and easier to maintain with manual stretching only. After six or so months, you can add hanging, extending, pumping, or any other method you come up with. Just maximize the easy gains before switching to advanced techniques.
