Dry Jelq

STUPIDLY I DID THE PRIME NEWBIE THING of not reading anything properly. Now that I have I realised I SHOULD dry jelq, just to clarify the actual technique is it as follows?

Maintain a semi errect penis
Squeeze by the bass
With one hand pull towards the head for at least 3 seconds
Then retract back with the skin loosening my grip & the same hand
Then grip strong again & repeat

? I did to a engine search search but couldn’t find what I needed./
