Have you switched directly from jelqing to using devices ?
I prefer keeping it 100% with hands for now.
I jelqed for several years with some small labor intensive gains. I have tried jelqing and pumping in the same time frame, I don’t think jelqing contributed anything to it. I don’t know if my current preferences and experience really apply to people starting out. Doing jelqing toughens up your penis and a conditioned penis doesn’t respond to things the same as an unconditioned one. If I was to start from scratch today with an unconditioned penis, I wouldn’t do jelqing and I would go straight into light pumping and light hanging.
I prefer pumping and hanging now. I seem to get the best result from hanging at low weight (~.5lb) for several hours a day, but not every day, and pumping 20 minutes at 5 inHg every other day. Excessive stretching through higher weights or tension, for me, causes shortened erect length for a few days. Pumping more seems to stop gains.
My perspective on penis enlargement is that the real difficulty, at least for me, is avoiding doing the exercises in excess of what triggers growth. I love pumping for an hour at a time, or doing 20 minutes 5 times a day, but many episodes of doing that for weeks or months at a time in the past have shown me it’s actually counter productive.
My perspective on jelqing now, even done correctly, is that it’s a brutal exercise. Not nearly as brutal as clamping, but I think when compared to moderate pumping it does more harm than good and ultimately hinders gains from pumping later on by reinforcing the connective tissues of the penis.
