girth and condom sizes

Great site. Thx.

What is the average range of average condoms?

Thx in advance.

Questions,

Welcome to the forum. Before I get on to your question, please use "thanks" instead of "thx" (or any other chat style words).

Thanks.

Taken from http://www.feel confident.co.uk … /size_chart.htm :

Quote
Condom Sizes - The standard size for a condom is 98 to 106mm girth (unstretched), and 180mm long. This means that those with a girth of 120mm and below may find ‘average’condoms slip off too easily, Those with a length of over 180mm risk having the condom roll up or slip off inside their partner during sex, those with a girth of much above150mm may find condoms uncomfortably tight. With more than 1 in 3 of men fitting into one or more of these categories, it’s no wonder that almost half of men felt that their condoms were a poor fit.

Another resource with 55 different sizes of condoms:

Condomania | Official Store - Condoms, Lube, Sex Toys

The average range is usually within the range of average to above average. Sometimes the average will average out to be below average, but only if the average is not affected by the average range.

ICM: thanks very much.

stevie31: I go to the store and I buy some condoms and none of em are snug. :(

Have you tried all the available sizes?

I realize this is an old thread but didn’t really want to open a new one for a question that has probably been asked a dozen times before (search option didn’t help, though)

So I was wondering about condom sizes. I don’t know if you’re familiar with My.Size condoms, they have 7 different size options.
Naturally, one should determine the right one by measuring one’s girth - at the widest point.
So my question is: Does base girth count as widest point? I think this is a valid question for many, since base girth is often considerably larger and would put you in a different one of their size categories.

It doesn’t really help that the site that distributes the condoms and the MySize itself have completely different girth-condom size relation charts :(

The widest point counts as the widest point, I suppose. :)

Looking at the pic on the website, one should measure at about midshaft.

It is strange how they relate the diameter of the penis with circumference; a 0.69cm wide condom fits a 15cm girth penis?

I’m at 14cm and use either the 64 or 69mm My.Size Condoms.

They’re not very comfortable, 15cm girth would be unpleasant.

Thanks for your replies.

Hmm I’ve seen that weird diameter - girth relation before. It was on the distributor’s site (Vinico). I actually sent them an email a while back, practically telling them that a penis is not a perfect cylinder.
They said that their chart was only a rough guideline etc.

69mm for 15cm sounds about right doesn’t it? Leaves about 1cm for the material to stretch so it won’t slip off.

I myself have the 60s with en EG of slightly above 14cm and a BG of around 14.5cm. When I tried them (I’m not having sex) I thought they fit alright. Then again, I also thought that that’s just the way it’s supposed to be when I let myself be strangled by the 52mm standard condom ;)

How can you use 69s for 14cm? How do they stay on without any tension?

Start 06.2012 BPEL: 6.1" EG: 5.3" Current BPEL: 7.1" EG: 5.6" Goal BPEL: 7.5" EG: 6"

Doesn’t sound right at all, I use condoms with 58mm diameter and most of the times I am able to fit on my penis which has about 17.5cm girth at the widest point; other people who tried it have it slipping off. Even if the penis is not a perfect cylinder still diamter*3,14 give a right enough measurement.

Now this doesn’t sound right to me. 17.5cm isn’t even on any of those charts. Have you ever tried bigger ones? I think you should.

Aha, there is a little equivocal: the condoms I wear aren’t mysize brand, it is another brand; what I was saying is that, for any condom, the diameter*3 is a good approximation to see if it fits your penis size, so what reported on Mysize site sounds wrong to me.

I think the MySize sizes are given in flattened width. So 2x the number listed would give the exact circumference of the condom (e.g. the circumference of the 69mm condoms is 13.8cm, which should fit alright for someone of 15cm girth).

As far as which size to get, it really depends on your shape. For instance, if your base is significantly wider than the rest, you obviously shouldn’t go by that number. Mid-shaft girth is a good bet for a decent fit in most cases.

Thanks Serenity. Yes, this is the way all non-american brands state their width as far as I know.

So multiplying the given width with 3 (or pi) wouldn’t make any mathematical sense, but it could still be a viable formula.

But I really don’t think it is. If it was, there would’nt exist any condom even close to matching the average penis :S.

Also, if even your ginormous girth was too small for the 69s or even 64s, the production of these sizes would make no sense whatsoever :)

The condom itself fine actually, it’s mainly towards the edge that gives issues. It’s as if the last cm or so is narrower.

And while I say 14, it may be a tad more but i’ve never been able to get a measurement. My stats are conservative.
