I have been doing PE since March (7 months) and I have noticed almost a full inch in BPEL gains. I have a good length exercise that has been producing steady gains (can discuss upon request), but girth is so important to me. I haven’t had any girth gains in over 5 months. I want to get into pumping but the general consensus is pump gains are generally temporary. I would consider clamping but it’s more advanced, dangerous, and can lead to discoloration. I have been reading hours and hours of thread comments about pumping and no one seems to say anything definitive regarding their results. Very few people say, “I gained X amount of permanent gains from mostly pumping.” It’s always something like, “I’ve been pumping for a long time and I like it.” I need to get on the path to girth gains and I think pumping sounds like it has potential if I stick with it. But can anyone tell me their definitive, permanent results that mostly came from pumping? I tried jelquing, squeezes, ULI #3, and none helped. It seems like some advanced PEers have gained almost nothing in girth over the course of years (0-0.25 inches). How do I take girth seriously (while still attending to length) to make real gains like some of the guys here have?


03/2018: BPEL 5", MEG 4.4375". 05/2020: BPEL 6.1875", MEG 4.4375".

11/2020: BPEL 6.4375", MEG 4.5".

Short term goal: BPEL 6.5", MEG 4.75". Long term goal: BPEL 7", MEG 5".

It seems like there are too many pumpers for there to not be some legitimacy to it. But maybe a lot of them do it for penis health or super short term benefits (within an hour).

How much evidence do you need? There are other threads on here asking if pumping gains are permanent. It seems like you’ve already read the threads but aren’t convinced.

Pumping works. So does clamping. High profile members on this board have gained from pumping (or from both).

Personally, I can’t give you advice on pumping, but I will add that I think you’re over-anxious about clamping. If you’ve been jelqing consistently for 7 months, you’re conditioned enough to start clamping if you want. There’s both a moderate and an intense approach, and the moderate clampers don’t have much trouble with injury and discoloration. I got impatient and slid from moderate to intense, and I got a little discoloration. It’s not really that big a deal. I don’t love it, but I wouldn’t trade it for the girth I’ve gained. As far as being “dangerous,” I think clamping is a little more injury prone than pumping—but it’s not going to make your dick fall off as long as you do your basic research.


Why the Smithsonian? Because you could walk around it for a week and not see the whole thing.
