As I have said in other shaving threads/topics I shave my balls and shaft and leave a patch above my shaft. I have found using shaving products made for females seems to work the best in the lower areas like shaving your balls and shaft. I use lotion and/or baby powder after I shave to keep the itch down it also help prevent bumps and cuts later from what I have found. Hot wet wash cloth seems to help the most, it open up the pores and relax the hair before shaving less irritation later.
I need to get one of those micro shavers to do maintenance work instead of just completely shaving again, it can be a hassle when I do not have the time for a full shave.
Like others have said PE work with a shaved unit is much easier to work with. With less pain is always a good thing.
