Hanging vs stretching, and pumping vs jelqing

I did some searches on this first, but I do not believe my particular question has been answered.

I don’t like the idea of using devices. Number one I don’t want to mess with them (sounds like too much research and effort), and number two, it sounds like there’s a real possibility of something going wrong. I just want to use my hands.

So here’s my question, is it possible to see really big gains by doing entirely manual exercises, or will most, or even all men have to switch to using hangers, pumps, and other things in order to reach their long term size goals?

As far as I understand it the consensus is that simple exercises (without special tools) done properly for a sufficient amount of time *will* grant you initial (newbie) gains that can be substantial (some cms), then after those starting gains your unit will get accustomed to the stress and you might need different or more advanced exercises that might require tools. There is however no guarantee for anyone that any of this, tools or no tools, will work to produce substantial gains, so you’re not required to use tools at any point in the journey. Use the base exercises, get to know your unit and your limits, and from there if you want afterwards expand with more intensive exercises safely trying to fine tune the stress on the tissues. Even if you don’t gain, the exercises are still good for your tissue and sexual health

Sounds like there’s no one definitive answer. I’m definitely going to try to gain as much as I can with just manual exercises.

People’s mileage varies a lot on this kind of journey. In the end it boils down to your very individual physiology, in the same way that people might train a lot for muscles at the gym and some might get visible results with ease while others might get more fit but not look like it, or some might put in a lot of effort and have nothing to show for it. Just like with body exercise, what you can do is focus on good form and putting in the effort, and as you learn what and how much makes your tissues sore you can condition and ramp up the intensity and stress little by little - how you ramp it up, with tools or not, is completely up to you.

I would personally stay away from pumping, but hanging can be done with very simple materials - you wrote it’s too much research and effort but a big deal of it has already been done by people who posted their schematics in the forum, you just have to buy the materials and put the thing together.

Good point. This site has been around since 2001, and thus there is a great deal of accumulated knowledge. I’m aiming for the magical 8x6. Will I get there? Who knows. If I never reach 8 it’s not the end of the world. Length isn’t as important to women as they cannot feel much past the first few inches. Girth is very important to me however. I’m already above average there, due in part I believe to PE done in the past. I want to reach 6 girth at least. Anything beyond that is a bonus. Of course being thick with not a ton of length would make it look stubby, so the length is desirable along with it.

I think that’s a good approach, keep the target in mind as inspiration but focus on what you can control, which is the exercises.

I would say length affects the impression women get and your confidence - regardless of what is and what statistics say, it’s perception that matters so much to them. That being said, do what matters to *you* and then add onto that other routines if it’s efficient/sensible to do so.
