Having trouble when manual stretching upwards

I’m still not sure about this, but are you supposed to be fully flaccid when you do manual stretches? I find it hard getting a good grip on it if it’s flaccid. Having blood in the head makes it easier to stretch.

I’m also having trouble stretching upwards, it seems like I don’t put enough pressure on my ligaments when I pull upwards, or at least not like when I stretch in any other direction?

I tried searching for threads about this already, and I didn’t have luck finding any. Any tips you can offer to help me out? Thanks in advance.

a) full flaccid but a light degree (say 20% just to write down a number) of erection is not an issue;

b) upward stretches put less stress on the whole penis, not just ligs, so what you feel is normal.

I had the same problem. Side stretches were fine, but I had a really tough time with slipping on both upward and downward stretches. Try a tiny bit of baby powder. It works wonders for improving your grip while stretching.

I use what marinera told me a while ago fold up toilet paper just behind the head, it works a treat. I do it every day just normal routine

I’ve been doing that for the last week or so, but I kind of don’t know where to apply the grip, since I’m uncircumcised, I don’t know if I should go about it differently.

I am circumcised, but have enough foreskin restored to appear as though I was not cut. In fact I have been mistaken for being uncircumcised. I too have difficulty sometimes getting a good grip without feeling discomfort in the glans. This is especially true when I do the downward stretches over a dowel rod placed across my thighs or forward stretch with the dowel rod behind my thighs. I have been doing the latter stretches since this past Monday. Any suggestions?
