How did you guys handled this when you started PE?

I restarted jelqing again after 2 years. I made good gains from the newbie routine but I had so many problems after a few months that jelqing wouldn’t work anymore.

Now today I started (like 6 months ago) and I keep getting too hard. Like most of you guys I think getting too hard or too soft is a problem we all had while PEing, I’m sure. Because of this problem I quit 6 months ago because the problem was still there after 1 month of jelqing, there was no improvement. Now I’m gonna continue jelqing and hopefully see length gains instead of girth even if my erection level is 2 times higher then in my best days.

Now my questions to you guys are:

1) Do you think it matters how long you take to jelq or does the amount of jelqs only count?

Explanation: in my good days I jelqed for 30 mins and had a 30% Erection Level because that gave me the best length gains. I wouldn’t have to stop in 30 mins because I was getting too hard maybe once every session. So I continued jelqing without brakes.

Now I jelq at a 60-70% Erection level and have to stop almost every 1-2 mins for almost 30 sec-60sec because I’m getting too hard. So for a session of 30 mins I’m taking almost 60 min.

Does this gonna affect my gains or not?

2) does anyone had experience with something similar like me and had a solution or how long did it take too not get hard every session?

I tried everything: punch my hand against the wall so the pain would take the erection away, had my feet in ice cold water, listened to music, watched movies or TV but the problem is in my head.

I think I had that “problem” in the early days of my PE. Nowadays I just watch a show while doing it and it keeps it at a good level almost the entire time. If I get too soft I don’t think it helps anything. I tend to stay 60-80% all the time. Keeping focus on something while you jelq helps me a lot and I can just do my workout in peace. I start a timer on my phone for 12 minutes and do 2-3 second strokes.

Thanks for replying. I tried that but wouldnt work for me. Hopefully soon. But do you think it matters if I take lots of small breaks in terms of gains? And you say 60-80% is that for girth or length. Have you seen progress?

My opinion is that “time under tension” is the key part of jelquing; I don’t think breaks will affect anything.

Are you noting the breaks in your PE log? You can chart that against your recorded gains, and then you’ll know for sure.

I dont understand what youre saying Im sorry. I dont understand noting the breaks in my PE log and chart against my recorded gains. I cant compare the 2 with each other without gaining first right?

Good news that you think the small breaks wont matter. This is giving me more hope to gain just like I did before.

I wouldn’t think taking breaks whenever you need it affects it negatively. I don’t know if I do it to affect either girth or length specifically, I just tend to be at that percentage because I feel like I get the best workout. I don’t want to feel like I’m pulling a string noodle, I want it to feel like it’s somewhat mold-able (if that makes sense) but still firm so I can grip it. It’s really hard to explain, I’m sorry. I have ALWAYS had jelqing in my routines, ALWAYS. So if that is the reason I’ve gained anything, I can’t say. All I know is that it hasn’t affected me negatively. When I first started I was at about 15cm BPEL, although I am not sure I measured correctly but I don’t think I was far off. I know I’ve gained a bit since then. I remember within a couple months I had some decent newbie gains. The gains were most likely EQ making it bigger.

To answer your question in short: Don’t be scared to keep jelqing if you are a bit harder than wanted. Just don’t use too much pressure. With time it will get used to you doing what you are doing and not associate it as much with arousal and more with a common practice. If you don’t want to risk it just stop and let it subside a bit and continue. I don’t like jelqing at 100% because I don’t feel like I get much of a workout from it. I watch youtube/TV shows/movies and also having porn in the background if I need a quick refill of blood in my dick.

Okay. You’ve been jelquing without breaks for a while. If you’ve been keeping a log, you know how much you’ve gained over that time.

If you start taking breaks in your jelquing, you can compare your gains to no-breaks jelquing over the same amount of time.

That will give you a rough idea of whether taking breaks slows gains. It’s not absolute, though - most people get the most gains when they start a new method of PE, and gains taper off over time, finally stopping. If they didn’t stop, we’d have some guys walking around with their dicks bumping their ankles. So if you made really good gains without breaks, and less gains with breaks, it might simply mean you’ve reached the point where gains come more slowly.

Ok then I understood you correctly. Today was my first day of jelqing and havent gained since I stopped 2 years ago so of course I will keep track but before I continue I want to know if Im doing something that actually makes sense. If you told me: too much breaks will destroy your jelqing gains I had to re-think my options. For now I will continie like this and within 5 weeks I will be at 30 mins again. If it al goes right I should gain within 3 months again.

The most frustrating part is Im so close to my end goal only +- 1cm and then I will quit PE. Im so afraid if jelqing fails me again and the gains are not coming its the end of PE for me because I tried hanging already and that was a disaster. All day stretcher was a nightmare too.

Lets hope I will gain soon and come close to my end goal

Thanks both of you for replying. Indeed hopefully I can do 30 min sessions again without brakes soon. Im afraid not but we will see.

Yes, of course. Its so frustrating knowing whats best for length and you just can’t do it. Its like doing exercises for muscles in the gym but you can only use weights that are too small for building muscle.
