How hot is too hot?

How hot is too hot?

I’m a newbie to PE, and have been trying to absorb as much information as I can. One of the things that is clear to me is that heat is absolutely critical for successful gains. But I have been wondering, how hot is too hot when warming up, stretching, extending, etc?

I recall seeing a post by someone where they mentioned that above 45 C actually ends up damaging and killing tissue. Is this correct? The past couple of days, I have been using a hot wash cloth, and I measured the cloth as being 122F (50 C). Is this too hot? This temperature has given me a really stretchy, elastic feeling, but I will absolutely tone it down if this temperature actually is damaging to tissue.

How do veterans know how hot to heat? Do people use thermometers when heating water, or thermometers on their units when using IR?

If it burns your skin it’s too hot just below that is perfect.

You can get to a higher temperature by ringing out the washcloth but you have to change more frequently so it’s sensible to use a couple of washcloths and swap them. Effectively you’re steaming your penis. There’s another technique called The Aladdin’s bottle which just uses steam. It’s effective too but it’s easy to make the water too hot and you can’t massage whilst heating.

That kind of elastic feeling is exactly what you are looking for.

Okay, but with respect to cellular health and not killing tissue, it sounds like you’re saying there is no such thing as too hot as long as you don’t burn the skin.

Are you familiar with the research that suggests over 45C can cause death to connective tissue? If I can find the original post I will post it, but I didn’t save it.

You can scald with a temperature of 48°C in a 5 minute warm wrap. To be safely below that, you’re probably in sub 45°C territory anyway. So saying avoid scalding is pretty similar to what you are saying i.e. it’s a good indication if you aren’t using a thermometer. It’s probably safe to let your penis decide what too hot is, even if you make the occasional slight overestimate and have to quickly remove the wrap. You’ll get the hang of the perfect temperature pretty quickly.

But yeah, the point is to warm the penis not cook it.
