I don’t seem to have permission to start threads there.
One other thing you can do between now and when you’ve made your 300th post - you can start a thread in Newbie, and start your message with something like “Would a mod please move this to Main?” (or Hanging, or Pumping, or whatever). That generally works.
For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

I have almost 800 posts and don’t need to start a thread in the main member forum. Not if I do a search first! There is usually something covering most of the topics I want to query. Not that new posts in the main member forum aren’t interesting. :D

I think its a good system.
In fact I think they should make it so you need to have 100 posts even to be able to post in the newbie forum. That would eliminate many of the repetitive questions we get there. I know I’ve asked a couple *sigh*
