I have this weird lump on my shaft

Well, I’ve had it for a while now, maybe like 2 weeks. Basically around mid-shaft there is this small lump on the underside of my penis. A couple minutes ago I tried PEing and I realized there was blood on hands. It had started bleeding. I didn’t feel any pain, and the bleeding seemed to be coming from 2-3 hair follicles. The follicles were right next to the lump. Like I said it didn’t hurt, and the bleeding stopped (while I had a hard on) but what is this stupid lump?

How big is the lump? Is it similar in size to a pimple? Or possibly an ingrown hair?

Sounds like probably ingrown hairs. If you’re concerned, you might post a pic in the Members Pics forum, or you could go see a doctor for a good opinion.

I just got a physical maybe 4 days ago, and the doctor didn’t notice it so I don’t think it’s anything serious. It’s soft, there is 1 hair growing out of the side of it.

When I said it was bleeding the follicles near the lump were a little bigger than usual, so maybe those were ingrown, but the lump is too big to be an ingrown hair.

I JUST MEASURED IT: it’s about 1mm high, like it protrudes out 1mm, and it’s maybe 2mm in diameter. It’s a tiny little guy. I will say though that I have a bunch of even smaller bumps but I know they are follicles, maybe it’s just a huge one thats really inflamed.

Ingrown hairs on the cock can get AWFUL. I’ve had a couple ones that left an inflamed/red “mark” for a month or more — definitely embarrassing when you’re with a woman and she’s concerned you have an STD (though most women have had bad pubic ingrowns themselves). Sometimes the ingrown is just lodged really deep and it can be hard to release.

If it doesn’t go away you need to see a doctor.

Superficial infections can get really serious really fast, so be especially concerned if you experience any pain or other signs of infection.
