Shaving is resulting in pimples forming on shaft

I’ve shaved my scrotum as well as shaft twice this year. However both times after shaving I have small pimples, with white puss appearing with in 2 or 3 days. Most of the pimples go away after a day or so, some times I squeeze out the puss and it heals on its own. Most of the time I don’t squeeze at all, going by the common rule of thumb, which is don’t touch them, let them be.

However I’ll always have one or two pimples on the back of my shaft and on the front which appear and stay for as long as a week or two. These develop like normal pimples and then go away within a couple of weeks.

Due to all the benefits that shaving has, i.e., hidden penis getting revealed, smooth surface, women being more inclined to going down on you, I’ve been wanting to shave more consistently.However whenever I start getting pimples, my enthusiasm wanes, and I just let the hair grow again. I’ve tried trimming, but I really want to shave all the hair off my shaft, as it covers up about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of my shaft…

Any remedies, prevention techniques?

P.S. due to the formation of pimples (they only come out when I shave), I have not actually begin my P.E. exercises. I’m still a newbie. I wanted to start about 2 months ago, but I decided to wait until the 1 pimple on my shaft healed. Soon after it healed, and I shaved again, another one formed, resulting in another long wait…

I purchased one of the Seiko shavers mentioned in this thread and have been very satisfied with the results. You have to use it every other day or so, but it never pinches or cuts the skin and I rarely get infected follicles. That, by the way, may be your problem. Try using an antiseptic or (!) alcohol to reduce the bacteria on the skin after shaving. That might prevent or reduce the pimples.

yeah, theres no way I’m gonna be able to buy a seiko shaver…I’m living in India…Only razors they have are gillette…

Antiseptic, something as extreme as dettol? Rubbing alcohol? Regular vodka lol…???Sorry if these question seem remarkably inane, but this is totally new territory for me…

Would aftershave work?

What I always use is medicated powder like Gold Bond, or something similar you can find in India.

I just checked the net, and took a look at gold bond…

I guess I can ask the pharmasist if they have some…But I doubt they would have that company…

Obviously this will not in any shape way or form, effect your gains, current length/girth etc…

Its always a question I wanted to ask. I used a medicated cream to take care of the occasional acne I get on my face, I’ve considered using it on my shaft, but I’m afraid it might cause my dick to shrink or something…as naive as that sounds…

The medical term for the cream I use on my face acne is: Clindamycin Phosphate Gel USP

Medicated powder has active ingredients: Menthol 0.15% and Zinc Oxide 1.0%.

You can try your acne cream also. If it’s safe for your face it should be OK.

Clindamycin is an antibiotic. Probably overkill for this. Yes, simple rubbing alcohol or an aftershave containing alcohol would work. Your climate probably works against you as well.

No cream or powder you can purchase commercially and apply to your dick will affect gains or make anything shrink.

If you have Internet access, you can buy the Seiko shaver. Since the introduction of their new model, the original has come down in price.

I’m perpetually on the internet so I have no problem accessing the seiko sites..Its just getting access to a credit card thats a problem. All I got is a debit card, and explaining a purchase of this nature to my father is going to be a lil tricky, hahaha…
