Ingrown Hair

Okay, so I’ve had this stubborn ingrown hair on the base of my dick for about 2-3 months now and it just won’t go away. I’ve done googling and whatnot and most just say to let it be and it will go away in a few weeks, but it’s been 2-3 months like I said and it’s still not showing any signs of going away.

Just wondering what I should do? I don’t plan to get it lasered or some shit, I’ve had them before and they weren’t a big deal because my last girlfriend knew, but I’m with a new girl now and we haven’t had sex yet, I really don’t want to get into a conversation explaining that it’s an ingrown hair and not a herpe.

Suggestions on getting rid of it?

You have gotten no answers so I will stick my neck out. I am not a doctor and hopefully you will get other answers but I will tell you how I have handled them in the past because it seemed to work. If it is just kind of red and angry looking hot wraps regularly with Epsom Salts. At some point try to work the hair out if possible. If it has formed a pustule and it has been as long as you indicated then I would lance and drain it. Of course make sure what you choose for a lance is sterile first. After lancing and draining apply an ointment such as Neosporin. Check after a day and re-drain if needed. Apply the Neosporin for several days. At any point if you can work the hair do so. I hope this helps.

@Allday I’m assuming you don’t have lots of foreskin, because I don’t and I have the same problem. IF you don’t have lots of foreskin try getting an erection and put an OK grip near the base of your penis and an OK grip near your glands have a firm grip and pull in opposite directions. You should feel like pain but that’s from the skin producing new skin cells. It’s just a manual type of foreskin restoration.

Testoman, All day has an ingrown hair, he isn’t trying to restore anything, he wants to get rid of a issue.

All day, do what nowhereman suggested, hot packs and then pop the sucker out. If you can see the hair, use tweezers to pull it out. Ingrowns suck.

The two main thing that cause ingrown hair are shaving too often and shaving against the direction of the hair. Cutting down on those two thing should help alot. Maybe try one of those creams that removes hair. They don’t cause ingrowns but they may have harsh chemicals.

Yeah I’ve been getting them since shaving cleanly down there. I had a big one for quite a while until I decided to scratch the hell out of it with my nail and out popped a 5mm hair. Got a little bloody and I doubt my nails are particular sterile but it worked a treat and all healed up in no time after I got the hair freed.

Well I just took some tweezers to it, and I don’t even know what to say. I pinched it a little and popped it open sort of and grabbed the little black hair I saw poking out, pulled, pulled, pulled some more as more just kept coming out. I just measured it stretched out and it was just under 2” long. Wow. I’m afraid there may be more than this one hair though, as it’s sort of like 2 bumps next to eachother, I had hoped it was just one but the other bump doesn’t seem to be very effected. Atleast one of thems gone.
