Ingrown pubic hair

I’ve been shaving and about afew wks ago I got what I think to be an ingrown hair. Feels like a pebble under my skin. I squeeze it sometimes and once in awhile some puss comes out. I can feel the lump under the skin but I cant seem to get at the hair. I actually squeezed it enough to break open the skin but it just bleeds and I still cant get to the ingrown hair. The part of the skin that has broken open is alittle away from where I can feel something under my skin.

Any Suggestions

Suggestion: leave it alone and it will (eventually) go away. If you keep picking at it, it will stay around and get worse.

How about tweezing - does one risk ingrown hairs from that? I try to get the entire follicle an’ all, but I still had one place that hurt me for a while.

I’d say tweezing or waxing (pubes, not scrotum) is better than shaving since those methods do remove all of the hair, including the follicle. Ingrown hairs result from cut off curly hair growing and curving into the skin. It seems when this type of hair grows anew from the follicle, that doesn’t happen.

From experience, it can and will happen with tweezing also. Try this after your next tweeze or shave session, do a hot wrap of the area to open up the pores, then apply Neosporin to the area. It works.

Anybody know what the EU equivalent of Neosporin is?

Any sort of anti-biotic gel will work. You can get one at your local chemist.

Do what Thunder said, it worked for me. You really don’t want to get involved with ingrown hairs, especially on the shaft. I have found a new love,Tweezing.

The first three or four hairs did, after that it really hasn’t been a big deal. I swear I use to cringe when I would see the word tweezing and pubic hair in the same sentence. It is really great on the shaft, I do a little at a time. I also use lots of heat, when I am able. Give it a chance, I doubt you will regret it.

The results speak for themselves. You cannot know how much you will want it until you feel the smoothness.

Tweezing is great. After the initial tweezing it only takes a few seconds a week to keep up with the new hairs. I’ve been tweezing for a while and the new hairs seem to be coming in finer and sparser. Smooth and neat. I’ll never shave again.

Do you guys suggest tweezing for my chin where when I first hit puberty and started sprouting hair there, I took a razor to it and it started to bump like crazy and I still have some bumps there? Do you think I should start doing that there and will it get rid of my bumps?
