Is Propecia or Finasteride a poison ?

I have seen many posts regarding propecia (finasteride) on Thunders. Many people gained from it as a medication for hair-loss, however several others complained about the drug having bad sides. Recently came across a post where a doctor mentioned that finasteride is poison and it may cause irreversible sexual dysfunction. Would like to hear from people who have used it or read about it. [ I could not post it under any other section. ]

Not a poison mate, that’s someones misinformed opinion. It’s a 5ar reductase, and a safe and effective medicine.

I used 5mg/day finasteride in an effort to treat an enlarged prostate. Stopped it after about 3 weeks due to the sexual side effects, I.e. Libido loss, dick shrinkage

The sexual side effects are what has stopped me from trying it…

Instead I use minoxidil. I started with the foam, but about half a year ago I switched to oral. 5mg/day.
I feel like I’m still slowly losing some, but it did slow it down a lot.
Luckily, no side effects so far.
