I read a bunch of mewbie routines and thry usually recommend 50 kegels a day. Here on TP the page about kegels recommend to start doing 100 a day and increasing to 1000. Reading member topics I’ve seen people claiming to do 10 thousand kegels a day. Some even more.

The large disparity between numbers gets me wondering if 50 kegels a day is too little.

1) What’s in reality the recommended number of kegels a day? Is there such thing as overworking the PF muscle?

2) Regarding quality, instead of just quickly crunching the muscle in rapid bursts I have been doing

Crunch, Hold 5 seconds, relax, Reverse kegel (pushing), 5 seconds, relax

I started kegels as a way of curing my pre-ejaculation problem. Do short bursts yield same results as my holding and relaxing routine or is one form better than the other?

3) Is it normal to get absurdly horny doing kegels to a point the exercise feels like no hands masturbation? Don’t get me wrong, as a masturbation exercise I loved it but it makes it hard to do more than 30 reps.

I think it’s good that you are asking for more information on something you are trying. It’s a healthy trait.

I usually do a set of 100 Kegels holding them for 3 seconds. I do this twice a day.

Crunch, hold for 3 seconds, relax. This times 100. Twice a day.

I remember overdoing Kegels when I first started back in May 2015, as I would clench and release my anus multiple times during work, and continue doing it absentmindedly. It was a bad idea. I saw that a small drop of urine would come out of my penis whenever I sat down. I stopped immediately when I saw this and thankfully it went away in 2 days.

As for any exercise, do what you are comfortable with, don’t think that you need to do more just because others are doing 1000, maybe it works for them, but you might not need that much.

The routine you have is fine, these things are about quality and constancy, even if you think you are doing less than others, consistently doing them will show you healthy progress.

As for the horniness, I sometimes get a semi when doing them, as I start thinking about how far I’ll be able to shoot, and how much awe I’ll see in the face of a partner *chuckles*.

I’m not sure, but strong kegels and near muscles might stimulate prostate. That’s why it can be very pleasant up to the point of ejaculation.

I don’t know if there is such thing as overworking, but when i do too much, next day during erection i can feel strong (and sometimes even painful) tension in that region. So probably yes. And i also believe there are many different types of this exercise. You can train speed, control, strength, time and endurance. Speaking about sensitivity, that might work opposite way. Good blood flow usually makes it better, so you feel more and cum faster. You probably should consider edging. Idea of edging is to flood body with prolonged sensations up to the point when body starts to ignore that. For example, people who do circumcision in adult age, or maybe start to go commando feel new sensations. But after some time body accepts that, adapts and ignores in future. Those feelings disappear. Edging is same, but on lower scale. You lower whole sensation level or at least start to ignore that jump from good to excellent with ejaculation.

Problem ia the horniness is not just mental. It is physical. I actualy feel like I’m having sex, the only difference is it’s less sensitive cause I’m not using my hands or someone else so it’s likean even slower session of edging, which is awesome but it makes continue training impossible.

You don’t do reverse kegels?
