lubricating while jelqing

Is it normal to stop for a while when jelqing and add some lubricant then continue jelqing again? will this affect the total no. of jelqs?

Perfectly OK. Also, if your hands get tired, I would recommend stopping for 30 seconds or so to shake them out.
