Hello Thunders,

I’m looking for opinions, perspectives or viewpoints on manual (hand clamping) vs cable clamping.

Recently I started light wet jelqing in the shower and what I called Jelq Holds, but are more like a Manual Clamp (I hold a tight OK grip at the base and hold it there).
I did this kind of conditioning and now I’ve started introducing a cable clamp and heat, but moving slowly and cautiously.

What happened with the Manual Clamping (which I would hold for 2 x 100 seconds) is that I would develop small dark red spotting around quickly and the expansion is very intense, the next day the spits would be gone, my morning wood stayed (or increased), so no NI’s so I could repeat again the next day.

Now with the Cable Clamping I experience less spotting but more of an expansion feel, plus more smaller red veins looking expanded (if you know what I mean) but not the same intensity - also no NI’s

My holds for the Manual Clamping are quite strong as I’ve been climbing for a while.
So I’m wondering if anybody has experiences or opinions on this subject, which clamping is most beneficial?

Keep in mind that I’m rather new to girth work, and as I’ve read in posts, by Firegoat for instance, it can be beneficial to get all the gains out of manual girth work, before conditioning the tissues for more intense girth work, as clamping is thought to be, so you don’t stall or condition (toughen up) before gaining, which according to him happens by gradual conditioning with gaining - not over-training, which I agree with 100%

But as I find the Manual Clamping in some senses gives me a more intense feel, so I’m not sure which way to go.

But I think I will experiment with more Cable Clamping, as I enjoy it very much.

Any thoughts or ideas are very much appreciated

Don’t know about you, but I appreciate manual exercises for the fact that you train not only your penis, but your hands even arms, too. Your exercise includes your whole body. It gets so intense sometimes that I get sweat as during a whole body exercise. Kind of like that…

A clamp is static, as you put it, that’s how and where it stays. I use a clamp or cock ring for performing certain manual exercises, but I also do something similar as you described: I make a tight grip at the base of my cock, really tight. Then I pull towards the glans. That does two things for me: it intensifies continuously the pressure in the shaft and glans and stretches the ligaments in the pelvis for length. Just putting a clamp doesn’t do that. Also a clamp generates a certain discomfort after some time, even pain. That doesn’t happen with manual clamping.

Thus for me, putting a clamp in place or doing manual exercises clamping with your fingers are not alternatives for the same but two different things and I use them both to achieve girth gains. Actually I put a clamp after my manual exercises to be able to maintain engorgement over a longer period with edging.

Hey I’m also interested in manual clamping!

I already do 40 minutes of manual stretching!
How much manual clamping should I do? Is 2x10 minutes enough?

And also the clamping should be done before the stretching?

I haven’t found much information on manual clamping

I like your approach to both manual and cable clamping, and seeing them as complementary as opposed to being substitutional.
I do look at PE’ing as a full body workout, as I would never isolate a single part of my body, without looking at the whole.

I’m really enjoying the two free hands you get with cable clamping, which you can also use to intensify and stretch with, but might do both as you state

Hi AlexDu83,

I think you should start slow and look into PI’s of your penis. Rather start slower and then increase than the opposite way, then you’ll never find the actual sweet spot of gaining.
I don’t have an opinion on which should be done first. Again experiment and figure out what works best for you
