Masturbation EQ > Sex EQ
There have been hundreds of threads about EQ on Thunder’s over the years (as I’ve researched). Most people think it is due to poor circulation or a nervous system/stimulation problem from desensitization and poor conditioning. There is no doubt in my mind that these are valid and realistic explanations as to why masturbation can sometimes yield greater EQ than sex with a partner.
My hypothesis is simply that when having sex, the blood is diverted elsewhere. Although sex isn’t exactly laying bricks or digging a ditch, it can get strenuous at times. Especially for bigger guys, the muscles around the body are demanding A LOT of oxygenated blood to keep going. This HAS to have a deleterious effect on erection quality. When masturbating, most guys are just sitting, standing or laying down relatively stationary with one or both of their arms active. Therefore, there is more blood to fill the chambers of the penis adequately. The big muscles around the body that are used extensively during sex are not really called into play when masturbating.
Many will say “cardio exercise, core exercise, or strength training will help.” On one hand, I believe that all modes of exercise are critical to penis health and overall health. However, when we’re working out, we’re not training while simultaneously trying to maintain a 100% erection (I’m not at least).
I think this is responsible for at least 75% of the discrepancy between masturbation EQ and sex EQ. Let’s use some brainpower and try to come up with a solution to getting the penis more blood during moderate to heavy exertion and incorporate this into standard Thunder’s PE routines.
