You basically want to press it until it stops at the pubic bone. No need to try to inflate gains by jamming the ruler as hard as possible…you will only be cheating yourself by doing that.
That is the generally accepted method of tracking gains. Yes the BPEL method does give you an extra size when measuring but the reason that we use that is for consistency purposes. BPEL measurements are without a doubt one of the best methods to keep track of your progress throughout your PE journey. Even though you have a small fatpad, it may not always be accurate. It can fluctuate multiple times even throughout the day so NBPEL measurements are not really good for tracking growth.
Don’t get me wrong, I measure NBP and BP measurements myself but with all things considered, you will get a much better idea of how you are progressing when using BPEL measurements. NBP is really for visual purposes imo.
