I have always measured my bentcock straight but I read a thread where someone used a tailor’s tape to measure it around the curve.
Would that provide a valid length reading or not?
I’m confused as to whether it would count.
In my opinion the tailor’s tape would be the more accurate measurement especially for non bone pressed, but would be difficult to measure bone pressed. I also have a significant curve and just try and straighten it as best I can to measure with a ruler. I am not sure the difference in the two methods would be significant but am curious to find out. Please report your results if you try it.

Well I had a measure today but it’s hard to keep the tailor’s tape to the curve. But I don’t know if that means a bent cock is longer than a straight cock of the same straight measured length or not.
