Morning coffee may cause some shrinkage for a little while?

I start everyday with a BIG cup of decaf coffee. (Yea, even decaf has some caffeine in it) And I notice that I’m usually a bit “smaller” (flaccid) for a little while after (maybe an hour or two?)

So I searched within this site, and sure enough there’s plenty of old threads from a decade ago which talk about how caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and there may be an effect where the body is sending blood to more vital organs (and not the penis) as a result.

So is this the reason my morning coffee is doing this, and it’s perfectly normal?

And would any PE exercises during this period be counterproductive?

I drink caffeinated coffee and it’s never been an issue.

Would you actually give up coffee for that? Not me. Got to have some enjoyment in life.

as all adrenergic , caffeine can restrict width of blood vessels to specific body parts and encourage wider blood vessels in other parts.

Relative to genitals it will restrict bloodflow somewhat, which doesnt mean it cause shortening of the penis.

Anything that causes stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system causes shrinkage. There’s just a whole lot of variability as to how sensitive guys are.

I like my real coffee too much to cut that out, however, when I did my first PE in 2001-2002 with a paid program (ya, before Thunders was around) cutting out the coffee and masturbation was part of the routine. At that time I did 30 min of jelquing, and 30 minutes of manual stretch, and with no masturbation, some edging, and no coffee I gained well (from less than average size) and recall I always hung nicely flaccid during that time…maybe it was just being younger.

Since doing years of simple maintenance squeezes and short time stretches, I know for sure that flaccid stretch is always shorter in the first half of the day…not sure why, but after noon, my flaccid stretched length is easily 1/4 longer, and easier to stretch. I wonder if that could be my morning coffee getting out of my system?

Any thoughts on that?

Whatever works for the individual. I know I’m always more malleable and longer in the morning even while enjoying coffee. I only have one cup when I do drink it.

what´s the idea behind stopping masturbation but encouraging edging?

I always just assumed that the reason would be to keep the penis a bit more engorged while healing is happening…like the 10-15% chubby after no ejaculation for 4 days or more. Certainly most of that engorgement goes away after ejaculation. It did teach me to deal with some pain…my first experience with what would be described as “Blue Balls”.

Anyway, i’m still using that sort of strategy with the routine I just started, that includes the same jelquing and squeezing, but with heat, and for longer times, with the addition of extending 4+ hours 5 days a week as well.

Coffee doesn’t seem to have any affect on me. That said I am trying to add in a mug of green tea these days as well given the benefits to blood flow. Also always been someone who could drink half a pot and fall asleep 20 mins later.

As for shrinkage, funny enough I just finished my morning one and measured between 8.25-8.5” BPSFL and almost 6” hanging flaccid (7” or so counting fat pad) so no shrinkage there. Only time it really shrinks for me is if I am sick, if I am exercising, or if I am in a pool (shrinks by about 1-1.5”).
