Need help about wrapping for vacuum extender

I tried it without any tape and the tip of my penis was swelling. I have found out that taping the tip of the penis till the bottom of the glans will protect the glans and urethra from swelling.

However, when I put the tape on my penis, the vacuum has 0 grip. Like when I draw air out, I can’t even get a slight grip. It is because the vacuum chamber does not hold the penis when there is tape around it. It sticks to the penis fine and holds when I draw the air out of the vacuum chamber, but it doesn’t work when I have tape around my penis. I believe the tape is creating an air leak.

I am kindly asking my brothers out there using similar vacuum extenders to help me out with wrapping techniques.
