New Soft Clamp Design
So, some time ago I started noticing that a segment of my corpus spongiosum at the base of my penis had become completely flat, and remained flat and spongy even during the best erections that I was having. Not only that, but the full length of my spongiosum was suddenly not getting hard anymore. This condition of the spongiosum has been alluded to here and there throughout the forum, and different people have attributed to different things, but what I seldom found reference to was this flattened part of the spongiosum…which happened to be exactly where I wore my clamp.
It was very clear to me that I’d slowly but aggressively damaged or destroyed that part of my spongiosum by clamping over and over at the same spot, way overzealously. I would often click past the point of discomfort to the point of pain in order to see the immediate tissue expansion which gave me some illusory affirmation that I was on some kind of positive trajectory (I was not).
Anyway, that was an upsetting realization, and I stopped clamping for a long time. Luckily for me, my spongiosum eventually recovered, mostly (maybe due in part to a more careful regimen of tissue-recuperatory-oriented PE practices like Firegoat Rolls and low-pressure pumping) and I started to miss the days of clamping.
So I clamped a couple of times, and found that even at lower tension, I could simply tell that these sessions were damaging or were going to damage this already weakened part of my spongiosum, and there was no way I was going to accept that annihilation of the spongiosum as a casualty of any other potential benefits of PE. Same with using rigid cock rings. I could feel the acute, focused pressure on my spongiosum and I could simply tell from the physical sensation that it was not a good thing (Listen to your Body).
To make a long story short, I devised a little clamping device, so simple one could barely call it a device, that I’ve found works to restrict bloodflow, but doesn’t place any uneven focused pressure on any one part of the varying contours of the penis.
Big Reveal: It’s a small strip of padded yoga mat with velcro sewn onto it.
The yoga mat is strong enough to be able to be pulled tightly around the penis, tightly enough to create a fully functional tourniquette, but semi-flexible enough that there is no portion of it slicing into the more protruding contours of the penis, which in my case the cable clamp has been.
Some may say that it isn’t any different from using an ace bandage or any other kind of wrap, but my experience with it has been that it behaves more like a clamp than a wrap. Think a flexible, adjustable, comfortable cock ring.
I wear this thing all the time, it is completely completely invisible, extremely easy to put on and take off, extremely easy to make (provided you can find an old yoga mat or something like it). I take it everywhere I go, sometimes I’ll do something like ten 10-15 minute sets throughout the day, at work (doing construction no less), at dinner, anywhere. A semi-erection, the slightest plump and even nearly-full flacidity is enough for my purposes so it isn’t a highly-demanding procedure, at all. I’m basing my approach largely on the concept of inciting VEGF elevation in response to acute penile tourniquet applications, so I’m not messing around with fully erect clamping.
The other key to using it has been that I enclose the penis and the scrotum together, since I am still going to avoid putting direct pressure on that old injury, perhaps forever.
I do other exercises in addition to this, I don’t think it’s rigorous on its own to provide dramatic results, but I feel that I’m getting positive results, positive P.I.s, and continuing to interface with the conception of clamping that I’ve found works for me.
Anyway, not a eureka!-esque creation by any means, more like a variation where there may be many, but it’s certainly become a centerpiece of my tools.
