Newbie Measuring
First post; love this forum and thank you all for the extensive research!!
I have a Bathmate HydroExtreme9. I purchased it around Sept 2019 and it came with It’s own rubber *snap* ruler that could stay stiff to measure length or fold into a circle to measure girth. It gave some basic directions about using it to measure to starting stats and length by bone pressing.
My issue is that the ruler has a small buffer zone measuring around 3/4in and then the ruler finally starts at “0”. So when I’m bone pressing, the ruler is basically leaving out any length between the pelvic bone and the visual start of my shaft. Using it, I measured somewhat over 7in in length and 6in girth.
Fast forward to now, I haven’t measured once since that day. I’ve been using the water pump in a hot bath, jelqing beforehand with a good lig pull at the end of it, and using a mechanical stretcher anywhere from 1-2 times a day for 60 mins each time, depending on my time constraints. I used a normal wooden ruler today that I found laying around the house to finally take a measurement of my progress. The “0” mark starts at the very end of this ruler, unlike the bathmate ruler that has the 3/4in buffer zone at the start. With this ruler I measure just over 8in bone pressed.
So my main question is, why the heck does the bathmate ruler have the buffer zone and is that the correct type of ruler to use for a bone press? Should I just ditch that ruler or keep using it since I took my starting measurements with it? Thanks for any insight!
