Numbness probably isn’t a good sign from stretching.
Many exercises reduce the hardness of my erection immediately after the exercise for me. I attribute that to the increase in the dimensions of the outer fascia and fluid filling the space between the fascia.
There’s a balance between the dimensions and elasticity of the fascia that is needed to compress the veins leading out of the penis chambers along the top side. If there is too much slack in the outer fascia, which runs length wise, the expansion of the inner fascia, which runs girth wise, isn’t enough to compress the veins. That’s why you get an erection from hanging, because hanging pulls on the outer fascia length wise so it compresses veins on the inner fascia, the exact opposite of how an erection normally works.
Similarly, and this is just a hypothesis of mine, if there is fluid between the fascia keeping the veins from being adequately compressed, the full erection can’t happen. I think when pumping the penis for a long time, fluid can develop in between the fascia due to the outer fascia being stretched beyond the inner fascia.
Too much heat also can cause erections to be weaker. Though I don’t know why precisely. Maybe it has something to do with heat shock proteins and nerves or the SMCs being able to contract. I do know, however, that if I sit in a jacuzzi for a while it kills my erections while in the water and for a period of time afterward.
